Not even sold. The DDG decision from the club was awful and we're getting punished for it. Not a dig at Onana but so far, I don't see him better than DDG. Could've used that 50mil where it was needed most.

Let's not forgot the absolute howlers de gea made over the past few years. Decision making when distributing the ball was awful aswell, didn't command his area, his arial presence when dealing with corners etc was average to not good...he wasn't perfectly good anymore. He's capable of having a good game at times but it was time for him to move on

You got cooked by Wolves. Cunha alone showed your team what midfield dynamism actually is. Wolves got lucky from an early og against City which gave them something to hold onto. United are parking the bus against Burnley. Just accept that your team is terrible and stop trying to defend them.

Exactly mental to get rid of him, we have gone from a keeper who could save but couldn't kick to a keeper who can kick but can't save. We have players who are incapable of playing out from the back. Greenwood, Maguire, Anthony, Sancho, The sale, incompetent people running the club, a negotiation team who can't negotiate a decent contract. Rashfords got his contract, so he's switched off, ETH team selection, players hes brought in, Tatics has to be questioned The club is in a state

Remember a few years ago when Liverpool, reigning champions at the time, started the season with a defence decimated by injury? They were awful too and really struggled for months. Ten Hag has played games this season with all 4 missing once and 3 of them missing in a few other games. You can't win PL games consistently without a defence. It's tough for anyone. So in that sense ETH has been incredibly unfortunate. We have all 3 left backs injured at the moment. What can he do about that?

@@mikeirvine1734 Dunno.... Liverpool were a mess last season too for months and pulled themselves together near the end to almost salvage the CL but weren't quite good enough. This has happened twice under Klopp. Injuries destroy teams and we've been unlucky. Had Spurs had their entire defence out they'd be struggling too. It's just how it goes sometimes

To me it looks like the team is confused. They have been counter attacking football for so ling now, Mourino and Ole, its difficult for them to score playing pocession football. Some players are geared to play counter attacking football. Rashford.

Based on United's league form thus far..I have noticed some patterns...none of which justify their current run or their performance. 1) United start brightly as usually look in cruise control for the first 25 to 30 minutes. A sudden, unexpected lapse in concentration results in them conceding a goal against the run of play. Once they are chasing to get back on level terms, the style of play and crisp passing goes out of the window. 2) Now United usually attempt to repeatedly switch play either from left to right or vice-versa. Another tendency is to loft balls by passing their midfield...both of these approaches predominantly result in a loss of control, a quick turnover by the opposition and another goal for them..and perhaps most worryingly, few chances to actually score and get back on level terms. 3) The absence of an elite ball progressor in the midfield hampers Ten Hag's style. Here, the left back crisis hasn't helped matters as Amrabat's presence there makes it worse. Secondly, Shaw'a injury hits hard, without his overlapping runs Rashy is left isolated at times. Lastly, Martinez's absence compounds things as now the central midfield has to drop back to collect the ball (due to the limited passing range of Varane and Lindelöf). 4) Poor decision making by the likes of Antony, Pellestri, Rashy results in United misusing the most of their chances infront of goal. I am done. I rest my case mate. - Bart

Ten haag has his self to blame he purposely changed the winning team in the week to accommodate rashford & bruno after seeing both of them awful start to the season. & furthermore rashford & sancho are close friends so rashford will take this opportunity to hurt ten haag ,so if he is believing that rashford is the answer it easier he resigns from now b4 it gets worse

Did Rory watch the game? Maguire & van de beek was brought on for varane & lindelof. Maguire wasn’t brought in to play striker. As for the goal itself no keeper is saving that shot. I am not ETH is not to blame but this is just bad punditry

What downfall? We’re 7 games in. We’ve had an awful start but the injuries, the decisions that have gone against us, a few key individual poor performances and everything going on off the pitch, have massively contributed to this. How can you question Ten Hag? There’s not a manager in the world who would be able to get results at United right now. It’s ridiculous listening to people who don’t understand tactics, who don’t know the players, who don’t know the behind the scenes situations e.g. injuries and player confidence, who don’t know anything about management really, questioning a managers decision making and substitutions. You put Harry Maguire up top in the last minutes of a game you’re losing against a low block because he’s good in the air and a strong physical presence. It’s pretty obvious Rory. If you don’t have anything intelligent to say you shouldn’t say anything.

The thing the most damning thing about those 2 palace games is that in the cup we took out our 2 star players and played much better. If you are likely to lose a game and you want to prepare for the questions that would inevitably come your way, you want a designated scapegoat on the pitch. It makes the conversation about the players, not the manager. CYA tactic.

I would have bought your points if it was Ten Hags first season but the manager has already proved last season that he is capable of turning things around. He already did with 2 cup finals and a top 3 finish. So I feel this talk of replacing the manager is non sensible

I agree with you. The injuries don't help, it's a make shift team every match day. Pundits never allude to that, yet they'll gladly excuse other teams. Liverpool after winning the EPL had their defence decimated, they didn't do too well. All 3 the leftbacks are out now, Rashford, ok his output is poor due poor decision making and no support on his inside/outside, he keeps running into brick walls. Give ETH a break, he proved last season.

We always used to buy the best. When RVP, Rooney, Rio, Cantona, Keane etc. we’re available we were in for them. Over the past 10 years Kane, Kante, Rice, Haaland, Van dijk, Mane. When the best are available we don’t buy them & we make do with someone else.

I just don’t get the impression Ten Haag can have a good relationship/connection with all the players, and as we can see with Sancho unlikely to motivate players like an Eddie Howe or a Neil Warnock. I can’t remember one stand out performance/game, where all the players continually had flowing football.

ETH.... needs to learn how to better man manage a team in a league like the EPL. He could get away with his style while at the Eredivisie where players are young and more willing to put up with his style. Came to EPL and players not having it. Not saying the players aren't at fault too, but there is a subtlety that is required that ETH simple does not possess.

It gets said every season... worst start can be after 4 games, 6 games, 8 games, 9 games... and the media will make sure to make that noise when it just happens to be true at that moment. Long season. After seeing many seasons unfold in all manner of ways you begin to not take these dramatic claims too seriously because things can change big time as the season unfolds.

I called this. I backed ETH the whole way...until he let De Gea go. We have the worst gk in the league (arguably). Onana can't save and the 'distribution' ended up doing nothing. I desperately hope he comes back in January as a free agent. I think $500,000 per week is warranted, for the abuse, skill, and desparation combined. The 500k is pennies compared to what Onana is about to cost us.

I don’t think ETH is as bad a manager as he is being made out to be however he certainly is outside his comfort zone of Ajax dominating the league compared to a club like United who have been on a 10 year league hang over and are in the shadows of their neighbours. Until players are purchased who embody the team value and not some of these individuals who are on the books will United start heading north

For those that were just born yesterday, you may not notoce that theres a cycle going on here. We have players signed nearly 10 years ago with Van Gaal that threw him under the bus, then mourinho, then the pally boy Ole gunnar, and now ETH, the manager touted to take over at Barcelona because of his playing style.
