Great video. When I rode in Norway last year I was not blessed with such weather though (about 70/30 sunshine/rain). I identified one rule in Norway: if the cloud ahead is grey it rains (unlike the UK when you can have a grey sky without it raining). Looking forward to the next episode!

Hooray, the next episode I was eager to see. I've seen many Stavkirker in Norway. Beautiful wooden structures made without any metal nails. I've visited this one also. You should visited the inside of one of them. Your Garmin records the track you ride, including speed, height and distace. Use Basecamp to read it out. Norway keeps giving and giving. You will love the cathedral and surroundings in Trondheim. Hope you visited the fort. It looks like the roads have improved since 2012. Go 1 mile of the road and you'll be in the middle of nowhere. The cheapest way is the supermarket and make your own sandwiches. You mainly used the main roads. I used the smaller ones to see more cracking landscapes and have almost no traffic. North of Trondheim, near Steinkjer, there are stone carvings from the Viking era. You have to visit Norway again. You missed a lot due to the long journeys you made.

Ma786sai Truly your videos are utterly remarkable to so so many ways. Appreciate And take immense delight in them. The 2017 R1200R that I recently acquired I’m letting go, I did it too light. Taking a 2006 R1200GS in its place. Somehow I find the 06 GS much better planted and I prefer the overall feel of this GS. I have ridden the newer water cooled GS yet prefer the older 2006. Lot more charm. I own a R100RS 1979, K1200RS 1999, Superblackbird 2001 also. God bless u Cyrus

Should have taken the panniers....you could have packed some snacks :) Always remember to pack 'some space' !! :) Great series and looking forward to the West coast....lots of schlepping miles to get to the Arctic Circle though... I bet Richy Vida is watching this thinking 'Why couldn't the weather be like that when we went?'

That interesting looking vehicle at 27:34 is a US built Humvee - the replacement for the old WW2 era Jeep. In fact, looks like there was a military convoy of some sort going along the side road as you came into Hell. You can see some more passing under the bridge you are on at on the right a few seconds earlier in the vid (headlights to the right of the bridge at 27:24). One of the vehicles looks like a deuce and a half. I know Norway uses the Humvee - but with the deuce, I wonder if that is a US military convoy. Not sure if the Norway military uses both. Love the "Ride On Right" reminder sticker. :D

I would guess it is a Norwegian military convoy. They have near universal conscription, so many Norwegians have to do their military drill every few years (most serve in the reserves).
