I always use the "cough technique" whenever I can't pronounce a word properly (especially useful when trying to order fancy coffee but you can't pronounce the name). Thank you, Army of Darkness for this life hack.

I thought that it was a Return of the Jedi reference. Klatu, Barada, and Nikto were all henchmen of Jabba the Hutt. But the movie you're talking about is much older so that's probably the source

Actually they are a slight modification, Day the Earth Stood Still the words were Klatu Berata Nikto, and in this the words are Klatu Verata Nikto.

To be fair the film is associating it with pre-Christian civilization, but I agree Evangelicals (but also some other religious groups) have a knack for genuinely freaking out over occult content that is ostentatiously fiction. As a Christian myself, it gives me pause
