Krishna Das is a world-famous Grammy nominated kirtan singer. The New York Times has even referred to him as "the Pavarotti of kirtan". Check out his amazing music on his KZfaq channel here: / krishnadasmusic
On April 18th Krishna Das stopped by Google to lead a call and response Kirtan concert. He spoke about his music and ended with his hands in prayer and a bowed head: “As they say in India, ‘Take it easy.’”

Depression is living in the past; anxiety is living in the future. When you meditate you're brining your awareness back to the present, turning off the "default ruminative mode". So meditation is not about God or after life but to save ourselves in this life! The place of true contentment and God is inside us!

He is so honest. I love what he said about having to sing with people for his own survival. I can see it in him, if he didn't he'd just take drugs again and be totally lost. What a nice man, and I'm so glad he found his way out of depression and abusing his body. So glad I found this video.

Namste from Hindustan. It is really amazing that the knowledge hidden in the Himalayan mountains is flowing through the singing of this disciple of the spiritual world. Listened to the music from start to end. The few sentences he spoke are the true keys for the world of joy and happiness beyond cast, race, religion or nationality. Jai Gurudev

Damn, what a cool guy. I've listened to his music a little here and there but never listened to him speak. He really seems to be coming from a genuine place without this affected, forced calmness that you get from so many spiritual types.
