You have to understand the context of why Jesus said this and who was he speaking with, and what was said prior to this. He was speaking on the essential things you need in life, clothing, shelter, and food. Not wealth or riches. Success is better defined what Paul wrote in Ephesians 3:20

Here's a retirement plan for you the money you have saved up put in a safe to only you know the code too. Instead if giving it to someone else to look after for look after, it yourself! Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. you have to contend with inflation, recession, decisions from the Feds and all. This, Art of War and couple others I read annually. As a business owner when I get asked advise, I usually end up suggesting PT Barnums “A.0.M.G” . Because if you’re already a fan, it says a lot. If not it is a great little nugget to ponder. And when you realize Mr.Barnum wasn’t doing well at the time he wrote the book, he was reluctant but was convinced by friends to write a book on his knowledge. This paved the way for his comeback later in life.
