Congratulations! Excellent presentation of some of the facts about the cultural heritage of Tirunelveli. It was nice to see someone doing post-doctoral research (not degree) on Nellaiappar temple. Please note that Kanthimathi Ammal is Swamy Nellaiappar's consort and not Thayar (mother).

Thank you for your kind words. Thayar also means consort. In srivaishnava tradition they say thayar for Amman. All same :-)

Overwhelming to learn about such hidden treasures being unearthed by you. Kindly visit Krishnapuram temple nearby which also has musical pillars. May be there are hidden tressures in there too. Your inquisitive approach should unearth them. Unfortunately, the temple may not be in good shape.
