எஸ்.பி.பி மட்டுமல்ல, எத்தனை அனுபவம் வாய்ந்த இசை மேதைகளுக்கும் சில பாடல்கள் கடினமாகத்தான் இருக்கும். அது அந்தந்த காலக்கட்டத்தை பொறுத்தது. பாடகர்களும் மனிதர்கள்தான்! நான் இங்கு காலகட்டம் என்று குறிப்பிடுவது வெறும் வயது குறித்தானது அல்ல. காலநிலையையும் கூட! பாடல் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட நேரங்களைப் பொறுத்து குரல் வளம் மாறும். அதிகாலையில் இருக்கும் குரல் மாலையில் அழகாகலாம். இருமலும், மூக்கடைப்பும் இருக்கும் காலங்களில் குறிப்பிட்ட பாடல்களை பாடுவது சிரமமான ஒன்றே! எனவேதான் கூறுகின்றேன், பாடகர்களும் மனிதர்கள்தான். நம்மைப் போன்றே அவர்களும் காலநிலைகளை கடக்கின்றார்கள். சில தேவையற்ற ஆணிகள் சில மேடைகளில் தேவையற்றவை என்பதனை உணர சில ஞானிகளுக்கு இன்னும் எத்தனை ஆண்டுகள் ஆகுமோ? அதனை இசை கடந்த அனுபவம் ஒன்றுதான் கொடுக்கும்!

SPB himself said he punched it out, few lines at once, since there was NO track system in the 1970s. So, IR was NOT LYING! Maybe, you singers' fanatics can NEVER understand the logistics behind a COMPOSITION. SPB took 2 days to PREPARE for Sangeetha Jaadhi mullai! He also said "ManniL indha kaadhal indri" was a breathless composition, but it was a gimmick they used in the studio to make it sound like breathless charanam.

COMPOSER like IR knows how to emote; how much to emote; where to stress / where not to and so on! He is the one who SINGS it after which the singer picks up the nuances from the track. A good singer like IR (may not be as great a voice like SPB, but STILL) brings out ALL the emotions as intended by the COMPOSER ie.e himself! So, listening a song in IR's voice gives you ALL the dimensions in that song! A great voice (like SPB) alone is NOT ENOUGH for a song! If so, SPB-Anirudh (and other MDs) songs would be timeless hits; not IR-SPB songs or SPB-MSV songs!

He can't recollect each every hits and share those memories, only when he wants to speak about Ilayaraja he would share insights - like he did for few songs while judging reality shows - so the chance & probability to explain abt this song is so minimal. Weird & baseless, to think - Ilayaraja is stating lie, just because SPB hasn't confirmed years back. People are fine, when IR appreciates SPB but go weird for no Reason if stated an actual fact 😂

SPB's cousin said during the SPB memorial meet that SPB once told him "MSV KVM etc. introduced me, but this life of mine is ILAYARAJA kudutha pitchai". Before 1976, SPB sang only 100 songs in Tamil, and was ONE of the singers in Tamil (he was not yet popular even in Telugu though introduced there!). It is ILAYARAJA who catapulted the likes of SPB, SJ, KJY, Chitra, Mano etc. to that of STAR STATUS! They all know that very well.
