This is definitely my favorite channel now. Playing both melee and 2D fighting games, watching you seamlessly transition between the two is everything I could ever want

I love this kind of cross-game archetype analysis! I'm a Melee and Guilty Gear guy, so I love seeing connections drawn between them. The editing and humor was good, but a bit much. I think you could space out the video editing jokes and put more meat in-between. Potential topics that could have fleshed out more: -- why does rushdown have the "ape" stereotype? What is it about rushdown play that brings out the monkey inside of us? -- What types of games or engines does rushdown succeed in? -- What matchups does rushdown tend to have vs different archetypes? vs. zoners, grapplers, etc. -- What makes rushdown fun to play?

5:22 oh yeah I’ll summarise this as someone with a bit of experience with tekken There are very similar delayable strings in tekken and a major thing you do is instead of going for strike/throw mixups you go for low mid mixups. A very simple example of an aggressive rushdown character is kazuya in tekken. Your aim is to get a knockdown (E.g with flash punch) and then go for your wavedash pressure into mixup (hellsweep or ff3) which leads into your oki and pressure. So basically once you’re in an advantageous position E.g through a plus frame move or heat engager (in t8) you need to mix up by either getting your opponent to duck and take the mid which leads into launcher and combo or take the low to get knocked down again and have the cycle repeat.

If it is, have you done video editing for some other sort of work or hobby? I've probably got like...
