瞬く美 (Matataku Bi): The beauty of The Instant is an episode of the documentary series Hands and Needles, The Art of Tattoo.
"Matataku" means: instant, momentary, fleeting
"Bi" means: beauty or art
This Japanese expression symbolizes the idea of ​​capturing the essence of an ephemeral instant. Through his work, Michael Taguet transcribes emotions and movements captured in a split second and ink in the skin of his clients for life.
It is in Saint Chamond (42) in his tattoo shop Yama Tattoo that Michael received us. The young man practices a realistic tattoo style based on photos to reproduce them as faithfully as possible.
Surrounded by Irene, Laurent and Cyril, the very discreet and smiling young man tells us about his career and how he took over his uncle's shop. He introduces us to Phil Sharks, an "old sea wolf" from the middle.
We accompanied him to Paris to follow him during his second participation in the Mondial du Tatouage, where he presented several pieces to the jury.
