I don't trust them not to mess it up these days

I've been saying for a while, that if they do AC1, they should take the stories from the DS game (Altairs Chronicles), PSP game (Bloodlines), and some of the extra content from the novel (Secret Crusade) and make a full package that tells the entirety of Altairs life up to his reformation of the Brotherhood. But that would be way too much work, so they'll never do that. And I just replayed AC1 last year too, it holds up just fine

I agree with you guys, AC one needs a remake but AC 4 remake is not necessary to be remade in my opinion

Assassin's creed 1 definitely needs a remake

Feel 1 needs the update the most. It was a point where they were finding a direction. They were just making a cool game then, not a series. That being said there are 2 reasons they could be re-making them; 1. AC has been flung so far from those PS3 era games, I would think going back to that may help them rediscover that "magic" that those games had to revamp the series into something people enjoy again. Let's face it, after the Desmond arch ended, there was no direction. Rewalking that path may help them find that direction. 2. (And the most likely) They want to milk those dead Jellyfish for every single penny and since new games probably aren't doing so well, or they hear people hyping the older games up, and just want to capitalize on the money that those games pull in

Haven’t gotten into the video yet but I think something like AC3 could do with a remake, give it another opportunity to show people it was actually a good game. Add the “compromise” scene and make sure people actually understand Connor

After shadows and Valhalla I’ve lost all confidence that the present team at Ubisoft can handle it should be allowed to touch the older games. I’d wait another decade and come back to it.

Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space remakes taught me that just because a game doesn't necessarily need a remake, it doesn't mean that it can't benefit from one. Obviously ones that have aged more with gameplay and visuals are going to notice more of that benefit. But sometimes you can take a template of something that's atill great and just make it even better

I was surprised replaying the first game on Series X that they made it look really good. They visually updated the game a ton.

I used to think the original AC could use a remake, but that game’s structure fits the story that’s told. A modern retelling would fuck it up for sure trying to put too much into it. I’m replaying Revelations currently and there’s a 30 year gap in the missions where Altair was off fighting Mongols. If Altair were to get a modern game that’s what the game should tackle.

i bought 3 Assassin's Creed 1 CDs and all of rhem are corrupted either my ps3 can't run ac1 for some reason or the DVDs are just too old

Every thing you said about the games already being good, not needing a remake, and the resources going to new entries in the franchise, can apply to recent efforts like The Last of Us, Dead Space and Resident Evil 4. All of which people seemed to love it anyway. This is the lesson developers everywhere are learning. This isn't their fault. It's ours.

Yes we need them and if they were smart they should release one now because these next 5 months I need to fill my assassins creed cravings until ac shadows comes out once shadows comes out I won’t really care about the remakes for awhile tbh because that’s gonna be a big game

Assassin's Creed 1 needs a remaster at best, plus all content from Altair's Chronicles, Bloodline and content from the Secret Crusade novel, so we have a complete chronicle of Altair's life, though I doubt it'll ever happen considering Ubisoft's current status, not interested in remakes

AC Brotherhood is the best in the series. You get to hire assassins and can unlock Desmond Mile's outfit. So you can around Rome without those horrible robes. He actually looks great while free running in modern clothing and sneakers.

Why make remakes when they can just make new games? This whole remake angle is a lazy attempt at them to make money, why not just work things out with the with Patrice Desilet and the OG writers and make games the way the used to, great video.

Ac1 need to do a remake from the ground up. Black Flag on the other hand they should add a little but little and i mean LITTLE! improve in the graphics and ADD more missions. THATS ITS!!! The only reason Black Flag is getting the remake is because they want to make atleast some money from the investment they made with Skull and bones and it's naval tech. Just that, nothing else. They want to milk the naval mechanics which they created for a flop game

An AC1 remake would have to have the parkour and combat remade. Many people know the more intricate aspects of the parkour but not so many know about the combat. Do them the same but enhanced. Withiut these, i wont be buying.

Ubisoft's remake will be woke, to cater to the modern audiences that get easily offended. My rules about videogames: 1) Never preorder again. 2) Buy physical games only unless it's an indie worthy it game. 3) Don't purchase any game that has wokeness in it. The reson for wokeness is to destroy family values, gender identity, relationSHIPS, to feminize men and to masculinize women. 4) Do not but any game on release day. Many times publishers release an update as in censoring or adding microtransactions after the reviews are in. Being an impulse buyer enslaves you. 5) Any older games that get remade, most likely will be altered with wokeness for the modern audience a.k.a. weak minded droness that are easily manipulated emotionally a.k.a children in grown up bodies. 6) Do not trade games in the store, only with friends, coworkers etc. 7) Do not buy live service games (Helldivers 2 was an exception for me), I'm 99% a single player person. Do not blame any developer/publisher/politician-governement), just go in front of the mirror for the source of the poison or the remedy. Anyone that takes advantage of your money is smart, and that makes you stupid. Everything is energy, they provide the games for money in exchange. If you complain that you had a bad experience, then go in front of the mirror about your poor, unintelligent choice 8)Enjoy the experience of playing videogames but dont be attached to this activity. Life is beautiful, there are so many beautiful things besides standing in front of the screen. 9) When you purchase new games at Eb games or anywhere else, the case must be wrapped in the plastic. Even if the worker tells you that has no scratches, is like new or whatever other bs reason tells you, you must demand it yo be wrapped. Do not argue/waste time. Unless it's a used game. For as long as money is in your pocket, you have the power. If the situation requires it, leave the store, you do not have to buy the game, even if it is the last copy. Be a man of principles, do not let corporations and their schemes treating you like an idiot. 10) Never buy scalped products. Scalpers are scums.
