If that's what they're hunting they would be better off waiting on the Minutemen Layout Assault pack video I reference in this video. The Bag of Preparedness videos are Methodology and insight not loadouts and packing lists

Over $200 for every pack mentioned? Yikes, I went with a FILBE for $50...could buy 4 for the price of a single Eagle Industries packs and the FILBE comes with a removable plastic inserts and is equally, if not more durable. Many other surplus 3 day assault packs for the same price too. Is there a reason only the expensive options were brought up? Surplus assault packs will easily do the job of everything you mentioned and the situations you brought up.

@extremelyaverageman - He said, you do you after recommending a quality pack. A used FILBE is going to be $50 instead of $200, as would a used Eagle industries or Eberlestock pack.

I believe he needs to be cool along his little Po Po buddies and probably got bullied or something… I paid 30$ for my 48 hour assault pack 350 rds of 5.56 green tips and 100 77 grain OTM’s and my plate carrier… I doubt he makes enough as a cop to afford all these tools but he definitely has some insecurities

Not coming from a military background, I bought a lot of Mil Surplus at first, but I started slowly replacing a lot of it a couple of years ago. Being of limited income, means saving for bigger purchases, so it's a matter of determining what needed most first. The wife and I were avid backpackers for many years, until age and infirmity stopped that, so I ditched the military ruck I had bought, and just loaded up my old REI Mountaineering pack. I used to carry 60-70 lbs in it, and it's a lot more comfortable to carry than that ruck. Even though it's a bit big for a patrol pack, it's roomy enough to add extra clothing, water, food, ammo or specific gear. You caught me on the Deconfliction plan UF. You're the first influencer that I've heard mention that, and I can see the value of that especially since we're all coming from different points. One thing that irritates me is thid idea that we as individuals or small groups can go toe to toe with a modern military force. Any such action would be a repeat of the Battle of Camden during the Revolutionary War. Those Veterans that have gathered in groups will have better success to a point, but for us civilians, our best chance, and the last 70 years of war proves this, is through Guerilla Warfare. Hit and Run Tactics that hurt whatever force our rogue government uses against the people, because no matter how much gear we acquire, far too much gear we are Unconstitutionally restricted from owning, that are big time Force Multipliers, from buying, owning or possessing. Especially considering a significant percentage of us, don't have a military background. The only reason I know as much as I do about how our military operates, is because of men like you, that have that experience, and that I read everything I can get my hands on, including the military manuals that are available. Thank you again UF, for all you do. I wish I'd have found your channel a long time ago.

Old School. The buttpack is reissued and is known as the patrol pack. It has two belt attachments. It can be attached to the harness-vest at the lower or upper back. There are straps on the bottom for poncho wool blanket or poncho liner. On one side the bayonet attaches. It was originally an enlarged version of the foraging or bread bag of Europe. They "purchased" food locally to supplement field rations. For a short time mess kit holders were used. But the pack would hold water bottle, c rations, hygiene, fire maker, or enough for three days. For foraging there are two clip on utility straps. The strap comes in different lengths for field phones or wire stools. The supply Sergeant never seemed to have them on hand. When the Alice pack is used the strap allows the buttpack, foraging bag, patrol pack to be attached to a belt or slung across the shoulder. The straps may also be used as rifle slings.( The Supply clerk cheated on you.)! When you going to town then a soldier would have sleeping and rain protection. His own rations. Room as a shopping bag. It is is similar to the ultralight slack packs thru hikers cart into town. The practice of local foraging stopped in Europe with use of native troops and shady Americans. Food began to be poisoned as STDs spread. Enlisted are known to have 3-4 at any time as we really need 16 or now 35 million sore privates as in WWII. The Buttpack, cigarettes full, held great trading value. My sister Hannah! Buttpack. Utility Strap foraging bag. Mess Kit holder. Enlisted are encouraged to eat fresh. My driver and RTO never defected in the field. The other soldiers gave him all their beans and franks. He later had to visit the battalion aid station for an enema. I don't remember his name as the platoon sergeant sent him back to a squad. Caused to much excitement!

@@unclefreedom213 Everyone did….. We carried grunt luxury items in our buttrucks…. Poncho liner, socks, foot powder, chow etc and used zip lock bags to keep stuff dry. I also carried a butane stove, pogey bait and a toothbrush. Was a little heavy but that stove was heaven on earth in the winter.

Good stuff! I’ve settled on the LBT Standard Three Day Assault Pack. It’s nonrigid with a foam pad and has some organization built in. I’m not claiming it’s “the best” but I like it. Excellent, thanks! Merry Christmas!

Not sure when the patrol bag got so complicated., 2- 3 extra mags (whatever tickles your funny bone), 1 pair of socks in a dry bag, 1 days worth of chow, spare batteries x 1 set, for nods, radio, etc. If moving on a creep to a location where tools will be needed then bring the tools that will be needed. Rain gear, if rain is expected, personal snivel gear for cold. The bag better take a beating carrying 20-30 lbs of gear, whether walking, shuffling or flat out hauling ass. A patrol bag is for this here patrol. go out, get what they told you to get then get your ass back. No it is not a "72 hour" pack, thats a different pack, in size and purpose. In short the patrol bag carries a very small amount of standard items, then it serves to carry things needed for todays patrol. Going to go scouting you neighbors chicken coop and need to clip a lock? then Jimmy carries the bolt cutters. Whats that? gotta replace the lock? then Lamar carries the new lock, Eh?, the neighbors wife gonna be mad if you track mud into the chicken coop?, then Andy brings the short broom and dust pan. That there is patrol pack 101, real easy.

You can make a Faraday cage from ammo cans and there are Faraday bags. I don't trust any if it 100 percent. I have a few homemade cages made with chicken wire and wood blocks one is in a fat 50 can and the other is in a 40mm can. Will they work? I hope I never find out but I truly believe it's better than nothing
