Who is Dimash? I, and a few others, call him the singer of the millennia because the range of musical genres, and his vocal range, 7.7 octaves, are like no other. From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now, 2023), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. The world became aware of him in 2017 (when he was 22), during and after a Chinese singing contest called "Singer". His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states & 2 US territories, and was sold out. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology this year (2023). Dimash sings in 14 languages, plays 7+ musical instruments, is a composer, an amazing vocalist, patriot, philanthropist and, despite his popularity and talent, is a very warm and humble person.

It's just Joel showing his buddies music that he likes and wants other people to hear. Dimash is singing SOS by Luc Plamondons a Canadian lyricist which he wrote in collaboration with the French composer Michel Berger. The rock opera is called Starmania, and includes SOS about an “earthling" in distress. Regarding the wings reference: The national animal of Kazakhstan is the golden eagle, a symbol of independence, freedom and flight to the future . He often uses this motif.

About his comment: that was during the pandemics lockdown and many countries had many restrictions to meet. I had not seen my 80+ year old parents for two years in those times due to restrictions. Members of the band were in glass compartments there to be authorised by public health agencies to meet in order to stream the performance. I remember in your country there were not such strict regulations and punishments in that time. Dimash would never disrespect his musicians

Dimash 2023-Vocal range: Growls (vocal fry): G0-G1 Vocal Fry: G#1 - D2 Chest voice: E2-C#5 Mixed voice: D5-C6 Head voice: C#6 - F#6 Whistle: E7-D8 Natural range: E2 - F#6 4.2 octaves *Full range: G0 - D8 7.7 octaves To put it in context: He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note. Total Dimash range is G0-D8. By the way, a D8 is a couple of keys past the high end of a piano. And, I believe his Vocal Fry is off the low end of the keyboard.

How is it that Party doesn't know this was in covid. And of all performers in the world, Dimash ALWAYS gives credit to his band without taking the superstar "aren't you impressed with me?" attitude. Does he not pay attention to anything? Party just uses Dimash to bolster his views and subs. But his subs should drop as fans realize they are being used.

OK - MTH - lets see what Joel will show him. Its a mixed bag. As he was interesting in not so common song structure I would think that BAND-MAID and Hanabie would suit him. Also some of Lovebites songs, like a Frozen Serenade maybe. To take it to the extreme maybe Ayreon. Nemophila is more straight on, but I guess you can find something he would like there also.

You may not like his reply but you are ill informed to think all metal bands are nonsense songs, try reading up and listening to Nightwish, the songwriter is a poet and the female lead singer is incredible. I do think Dimash is outstanding but I can look at other genres and see their talent too, obviously I am a metal fan but Nightwish cover a lot of genres and styles, plus many other bands do too, don't be to closed minded to anything other than Dimash although you can't doubt his brilliance. 🇬🇧

There is just a very few "demo" videos where they are impressive. There are not tons of videos with good music. Maybe because no one writes tons of music for their unique voices? Have you watched his own songs that he composed? War and Peace, The Story of One Sky MV, his latest When I've Got You (great guitar solo). @@Kfuglif Sometimes people just don’t connect to a singer. Watched 2 of your videos, one still relied too much on his high voice (War and Peace), which I do not enjoy from a male singer. The second, because it’s new (When I’ve Got You) was better on the vocals being more focussed (still too minus high notes), but outside of his voice, there’s not really anything special about the song.
