At 14:45pm on Saturday 9th October 2021 after 2.5 years due to covid19 pandemic we finally see the Atholl Highlanders Parade at Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, Perthshire.
The Tunes are:

Drummers may do it with rhythm, but Pipers do it with Amazing Grace! I cannot express the feelings I have, when hearing Pipers play. I'm an old Piper myself, who can no longer play, but my ears can still hear, and the memories will never fade away.

I've never been able to travel, but if I were to ever go anywhere, I think I'd wish to go to Scotland, and Ireland. They seem to be such lively people!

That reminds me of when I was quite small. I don't remember what the annual occasion was, but a pipe band used to march our streets once a year. I was probably about 8 or 9 years old when they stopped that tradition, which was a shame. I will always remember those bandsmen.

In case you haven't thought about it, the Duke of Atholl's major accomplishment isn't to own his own castle or a private army, but to have his own pipe band made up of so many accomplished ex-army players with a Grade 2 sound.

I think my father's side was Scotch/Irish since in the SW of USA, my mother's family Hutterites from Russia. My Da was at Pearl Harbor when attacked and here we are. I pray for our future.

@@miriambertram2448 Yanks think they need guns to be safe o the streets, are scared of a wee jag of medicine from a needle, think masks are an affront to liberty and are ruled by the big corporations. If you were ever the home of the free and the brave then that died years ago. Not saying Scotland is much better but at least we know vaccines are one of the best and safest ways ti tackle serious health issues like rubella, mumps, flu, polio, smallpox and yes, covid

@@keithewright PhD microbiologist here natural immunity is better than vaccines. I thrilled with how many lives have been saved from vaccinations. However there has never been before and mRNA vaccine that has worked. I am vaccinated. Get off your high horse and talk about something you actually know about. Magna Carta led to many things and that includes the USA. Sadly England is going the way of the USA in terms of lack of free speech
