Hi George, these tutorials have been absolutely brilliant…..thank you so much, I have now set my Autoload template, and in the process have a much greater understanding of what I am doing, I’ll be checking out the next tranche of tutorials……you have totally changed the way I approach my Logic projects……Thank you so much.

Hi George ... I want to tell you, that a old german guy actually feels quite "enlightened" by the way you set up Logic (including T.A.B.S.) ... I didn't know yet about "THE ENVIRONMENT" ... but I have a jist of AHA💡now ... Thanks for that 👍👍👍

Oh my God! These videos are everything I needed. Between this one and part 1, it has been enlightening. I had actually added software instruments along with audio tracks while watching this video thinking I was getting ahead only to get the end and hear that the next video will address those on a separate layer. Serves me right for thinking I could jump ahead....lol. A thousand thanks!

The Environment Window is really powerful, I used to use it for weird MIDI routing not possible elsewhere in Logic. Just one thing, you saved it as an auto-load but there's an edit - did you just save it with that name?

My main AutoLoad is just saved in a folder in my Music Projects called 'AutoLoad'

In my main window the In1, Master,Click and Stereo Out shows up as tracks - did I do anything wrong? Or forgot to click somewhere?

hi George I got my 32 tracks showing. Im trying to get it to show the environment to show up I click command 0 it don't bring environment up. Im on a desk top m1 Mac mini. thanks for your help.

Ah OK - So chances are that you have another key command assigned to Command + 0 (or nothing assigned to it). So, In Logic, Go to: Logic menu>Key Commands>Edit Assignments and that will open your key commands. In the upper right hand corner of the screen type in 'Environment' in the search bar. The results should yield an item 'Open Environment' and then you can press the 'Learn by Key Label' button in the right column and assign whatever key command you'd like to use to open up the Environment. Hope this helps!

The FX channels stay mono?

Nope - in part 7 we change that for those to be stereo.

hi George Im trying to load autoload but when I hit command zero the event list come up instead of auto channels. do you know what's causing this.Im on version 10.7.9. thanks

Hi George. I just got everything loaded up that's a 3 channel strips. and I just tried to record something and it recorded good with no problems but it would not let me hear it back it took me two try to get all 3 channel strip going so now I have this problem with nor hearing back what I recorded. I don't know what to do. thanks for any help on this. @@GGabrielMusic

Hmm - I'm not sure I fully understand your dilemma - what are you meaning by 3 channel strips?

Hi george. what I meant when I said all three channals was autoload number 2 autoload till autoload number 4 so it would not let me hear back what I recorded that was a backing track and a vocal the only way to hear the backing track was to put that track witch was recorded on bus 1 so I had to put buss one back to stereo then I could hear that track. the vocal recorded good I could not hear that track until I did the same thing go from bus 1 to stereo nothing would show up on the FX bus. I could have down loaded something wrong. becausre I even did autoload 5 still done the samething and on vocal track I could not get no effects to show up on the FX could have down loaded 4 wrong to. so thats why I was asking you about could autoload work without adding intrument. sorry George if I am asking you dumb things also Im a slow learner but would love to get this autoload working . thanks again George@@GGabrielMusic

I do not actually save mine as a template. I actually just save the project as a folder and have multiple different versions of Autoloads in that folder (96k version, audio editing version, scoring version, 5.1 version, etc.) - I put the main AutoLoad project (48k/24bit) in my Dock so I can easily can click it and it opens Logic and the Autoload.
