The guys above left some phenomenal responses. I agree with most of them, and would add myself that the primary reason for that, in my opinion, is Owen's often very nuanced and advanced viewpoints on various topics, which makes it kinda advanced and a bit harder to grasp and chew for the average person, especially an American (not to bring down Americans, but we all know what the situation is unfortunately), and which might not appeal, but to a very small group of people. But boy, oh boy, if you happen to be in that group of people, and you understand or begin to understand his nuanced viewpoints, you become so much closer to the truth, and then a big epiphany happens. You realize that the truth, if you are searching for it, is often found somewhere in the middle, not on either extreme. It is to be found in the grey area between the black and the white, rarely in the black or white areas... There might be some other reasons like Owen's resolute and unwavering adherence to moral and ethical principles, to the point of almost making me say that's what a Muslim's morals and ethics ought to be.

I grew up among several religious circles, which helps me understand what Owen is talking about, but the misguided spirituality of my youth also kept me trapped in a very sophisticated cage. This is by far the best and clearest understanding of spirituality I’ve come across. It’s grounded, it’s not denying the body and it’s not going into metaphysics to justify itself. Like he says, it starts with taking care of your “lower“ level needs (lower doesn’t mean less important, which is the mistake that 99.99999% of gurus misunderstand - ALL the levels have equal importance) and then progress to higher levels of understanding WHILE integrating and exercising each lower level. Transcend AND integrate. It’s hard to believe that Owen got here by doing online forums on how to get laid, but if you think about it, it makes all the sense in the World; attend to your needs for sex and money ethically and keep evolving. You will progress.

Attended a business seminar with Derek and then turned down a seminar with you and fell out of the whole community due to my insecurity and self pity. I'm at a low point in my life but I started watching you and it resonates a little. I've calmed down from masturbating and I'm about to hit my 7th night in a row going out. Thank you Owen.

@@failuretolaunchdrums RSD used to do things better. Back in 2014 they used to actually give a lot of value in their free tours and such. Now their free tours are just hard-closing sales the entire time. They answer every single question with DHVing themselves, insulting the client for failing at life, and then "buy our mentorship/training, we'll fix you". They are fully about the $$$$.

This will NEVER be mainstream, what you've built is the equivalent to a mainstream audience for this topic. Honestly the day that THIS level of content IS mainstream.... It will be the ONLY stream. Been watching since 2013, not sure if I've ever left a comment. I have never resonated more with a video you have put out. I have long been thinking about the Bible and how much of a deeper meaning it has than what is taught in the mainstream (even in mainstream Christian churches). You're the only person I have seen that has come to similar conclusions. I'm still really far back in my personal growth journey because I had to unwind so much trauma and craziness. This vid pretty much gave me confidence that I am indeed on the correct path and the next things I am planning on pursuing are the right things to do. I will come back and watch this video again after some time and see what I missed. Absolutely cannot wait for the 52 video series.

Thanks Owen for helping me rediscover what I knew as a child. I think we all know at some level--or at least suspect--the exact things you are saying here. I lost that feeling when I grew older and got confronted by my needs as a (pre-)teen. Being able to find that place again and slowly but surely learn to occupy it is a great blessing.

Owen, telling your kid "don't do that" is like telling your kid: "This is exactly the best way of opposing your father." So instead, tell them honestly about your experiences, or your friends experiences, what built them up, and more importantly, what built them down, and perhaps killed off a few of them. Your kids will get the picture. And they will do what's right.

Some people will get and some people will never get it hit me hard , why am the person that hasn't got it yet ,these are obviously questions I have to ask myself honestly and take accountability for where I am in life, I think the concept of meditation and practicing in isolation not just physicaly but also mentally unegaged from the real world for a life time (maybe necessary in short burts to recalibrate your thinking and behavior patterns is healthy ) is the biggest misconception of what it is to be spiritual yet many still tech that as the way don't get fooled into taking the easy path, we are a spiritual beings in a human experience, I'm craving the experience I can and will get out of the trap thank you Owen

A personal journey I've been on has been on healing trauma from bullying. The main aspect of it is learning to reignite the belief that there is in me someone (or some-thing) to stand up for. IME if you don't believe in this you will be stuck beyond belief. Because the System is predatory on your will. If you can't stand up for your soul you become prey to the dopamine stimulation, you want to resist life and your life gets shittier, which reinforces low self esteem which makes you more and more dependent on the said system.

Random but what are your thoughts on caffeine? Huberman seems to advocate whilst owen doesn't, but the science seems fine on it

@@retardedphil whatever works for you. Green tea is a better source of caffeine because it has theanenine in it so you avoid jitters. The crashes happen to me I think having one cup of coffee max right away in the morning is good to get moving. Huberman says it's good and can really improve memory. Try ginseng supplements they're not the aged stuff Owen takes but it still gives great energy for $10 a bottle! Also there's mushrooms supplements reishi lion's mane and cortecepts don't sleep on natural energy sources.

I've been thinking about the part of the bible where Jesus said "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." I always found that hard to understand, like why would Jesus reject people that served God. I think it's because Jesus wants people who do what they love, not people who feel compelled to do good things because they're afraid. I think people who do what they love worship God more than people who do good works because they believe it's their duty. The difference is the first person is happy to exist, like a child. He's grateful. The second person believes he's owed something, and not that he's been given a gift.
