I kinda like how it looked to set up cliches that we had all seen before--Tech surviving, Omega becoming a Jedi, Rampart becoming good--but then diverted those expectations in the best way possible. Definitely an underrated aspect of this show.

I definitely agree, The Bad Batch does a good job of developing the story forward in better and different ways than expected. I also thought everyone but Echo were gonna bite the bullet in the end but writers had a better ending in mind.

@@dancingvalkyrie from what I've gathered, Crosshair really values himself as a sniper and the Empire rewards him for those skills and his loyalty. Plus, his brothers left him, and he never fully understood why. But the Empire didn't betray him (yet). In his mind, the Empire seems like the better option considering it gives him a purpose and they "value" his skills.

Well, there were no filler ,or weak episodes. You saw weak episodes -I saw character development, I saw struggle of Separatists after war,I saw political games of Kaminoans and the empire. I saw criminal betrayal, i saw ancients of Star wars galaxy. I saw Omega learning lessons from her brothers in this "weak" episodes ,that eventually payed off in the final episode. You may be saw weakness in it ,yet i saw everything what is it star wars,for me. It's world ,beautiful fantastic world. Both Dark and Light. Slow and Fast. Focusing on local events and events beyond Galactic importance. That's what for me was and will be Bad Batch. Of course different from Clone wars. Because it's not the same series. And I love it the way it is.

cross cair did have an inhibitor chip at the start of bad batch. But somewhere along the line he had it removed. No idea if anybody commented this but I can answer your question about Hemlock wanting Omega in S2 and possibly S3 In Season 2 Nala Se was not cooperating with experiments Hemlock had planned, she was vital to make the experiments work so Necromancer would succeed, Hemlock finds Lama Su in which he tells Hemlock about Nala Se and Omega having a really close bond with each other and how that could convince Nala Se to cooperate with Hemlock's plans. This is why Hemlock is so eager to capture Omega so he could succeed for himself and The Empire, without Omega, Nala Se would have never cooperated. This is also why he had a huge reward on Omega's name (which is why Cid turned them in) he captures her and blackmails Nala Se to cooperate with his experiments in which she does. I am guessing Boba was too hard to capture as he was starting to make himself a name in the Bounty Hunter business at this time but I am not too sure which is why Hemlock does not bother going after him, or he was already affiliated with The Empire. That is just a theory though, but that is why Hemlock wanted Omega so badly in S2 and in S3 she was vital to him and he knew The Batch were 1 man down with Tech dying and with the Empire's resources he most likely found this route easier Most of it is theories but in S2 that is why Hemlock wanted Omega, sorry for the yap session lol

Omega didnt have a high M count that was not why hemlock wanted her. They were testing all the blood samples to see if they could take the midichlorians from the young jedi in the vault and add them to the clones samples, omega was the only sample which recepted it and she had the ability to artificially add midichlorians to her blood.

I think it would be interesting if Omega joined Saw Gerrera's rebel cell. It would be cool to get more of omega and Saw who is in my opinion the best star wars character to date. I feel like there is still so much we don't understand about him. How he went from a Rebel extremest in Rebels to a paranoid terrorist in Rogue One. I think it would be cool to show why he was so hated (and feared) even among the rebels.

9/10 for this series I put Bad Batch right next to Rebels and over Clone Wars. Clone Wars got a lot of peak moments over those two series but it also has a lot of fillers too and their timelines are not consecutive through every episodes till the final few seasons. Bad Batch and Rebels had fillers but I think they're pretty straight forward when they piece everything together. Indeed the writing of Bad Batch surpasses Mandalorian imo because it didn't need to force that cross over like Boba Fett and Ahsoka. Bad Batch is a pretty complete series apart the stuff that still needs explaining, I still need more explanation about Ventress and where she gone to.

The thing that bothered most about this series BY FAR was the portrayal of Commandos. You know, *Republic Commandos.* From that amazing Star Wars game. Elite Soldiers of the Republic, almost Super Soldiers. Except in this show they're anything but. All the rich history we've seen from the Republic Commando game and Books just gets completely ignored. They even had the gall to use our boy Scorch in TBB, a member of Delta Squad and an awesome character.......in the game and books. In this show he's just a mindless, soulless pawn who ends up getting killed off just like all the other commandos, every one of whom is equally unimportant and pointless. They're just drones who only exist to look menacing, miss really easy shots, and inevitably die. It really hurts to see something I grew up loving get treated this badly, and I'm sure many other fans agree.

I liked this finale, but I really do think Hemlock was a wasted villian if I'm being perfectly honest. That's one of my very few issues I have with how it ended. I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this 😅
@camgeiger
@camgeiger 26 күн бұрын
Wasted villain is a popular theme in this franchise, Maul (originally), Doku, Grevious, Snoke. Looking outside of the animated series, Star Wars really likes to throw characters away. I don't agree with it, and I'm still made about how Grevious was treated in the Clone Wars.
@jackskellington-pk8mz
@jackskellington-pk8mz 26 күн бұрын
@camgeiger yes I agree, and I love how Maul was used in Clone Wars and i wish Grievous got more in it. It's to a degree, sad that the character of Hemlock was built up so greatly as a villainous character only to be thrown away as soon as the series ended. Unfortunately, that's Star Wars and I don't see anyone caring enough to bring him back (somehow, no idea how, they made him seem pretty dead) but yup, I agree

The show definitely missed some opportunities, but I’d hardly call this show mid. It’s not better than clone wars, it is part of the end of it. I hope we get a more centered show focused on other clones, so that we can experience the totality of the end of these beloved characters in a satisfying way.

It was a crime that we didn't see an old Crosshair and Wrecker. But I bet the reason why is because they were originally going to die and Hunter would be the last one. Hell, when the clone cut off Crosshair's hand, he could've easily killed him. Also, when Wrecker got shot it looked like he was down for the count. He fell in a way that I thought he died.

Even with those spectacular dark and gritty episodes of Crosshair, or the empire, or the Zillo, it still is a kids show appealing to a broad audience. What Bombastic calls “filler” episodes are there to lighten the mood, evolve the characters, and leave room for when the heavier episodes do come that they provide more weight. Crosshair getting his hand chopped off, Scorch and Hemlock getting shot 5 times on screen are some graphic stuff and also the tone of the show (especially season 3) is covering a dark gap time and it has to do that in a way that remains kid friendly, so you can’t have every episode be a non “filler” in this case. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the darker episodes better but the other episodes provide something also necessary for the show. It’s unfair to say the was mid because it wasn’t, it was truly fantastic.
@Vulcan-is8tw
@Vulcan-is8tw 23 күн бұрын
Nah man it was pretty bad. You see a kids show trying to appeal to a big audience, I see a show that doesn’t know what it wants to be. If you need “lighter” toned episodes to contrast your more ambitious ones, it’s not a good show. People especially complain about filler here because unlike your comment claims, the show DOESN’T evolve characters. Hunter and Wrecker barely even changed at all, if any. Echo’s development didn’t exist, Omega is a child that shouldn’t be eager to fight. Honestly a 3/10 from me
@Elitus_knightus
@Elitus_knightus 22 күн бұрын
@@Vulcan-is8tw Hunter and Wrecker managed to regain Cross-Hair's trust, and take Omega under their wing; teaching her all the plans, not to mention the small things like Wrecker handing down his doll to Omega. Echo didn't need development as he did have one during the Clone Wars since season one, the guy was part of the Domino squad (He's the last Domino), then became an arc trooper fighting alongside the 501st legion. Eventually, he gets exploded from a turret and is presumed dead, not much until it is revealed that he was taken as a slave to the Separatists to counter all plans of the Republic. He's then rescued by Captain Rex, Jesse, Kix, and the Bad Batch, he then joins the Bad Batch. Omega was allowed to live a simple life with a clone farmer and his family but she refused, she wanted to be with her squad. She's compassionate and seeks ways to help others without violence, it's a difference between the empire and someone like Zid. She forgave Zid as she knew living was hard, especially under the Empire emerging. On the other hand, someone like Rampart and Hamlock, she was willing to fight for her brothers due to mistreatment, replacements, and destruction of their home.
@Vulcan-is8tw
@Vulcan-is8tw 22 күн бұрын
@@Elitus_knightus The fact that the only “development” of Hunter and Wrecker you could find are just a trust issue solved in like one episode says all I need to know. And just because Echo developed in another show doesn’t mean he turns into a flat plank of a character this show. He barely interacted with Rex on screen emotionally it genuinely showed that the writers didn’t care much for him. And Omega being against violence is more of a reason she shouldn’t be involved in combat, on top of the fact that SHES A CHILD which is already bad enough. And that Cid vs the Empire metaphor was just you writing for the showrunners, literally never came up in the show.
@Elitus_knightus
@Elitus_knightus 22 күн бұрын
@Vulcan-is8tw There is an episode where they save a Separatist representative from the empire, and he gives them his own point of view of the CIS in which we've never explored or I didn't. They didn't like the regs much, but they freed them. Perhaps we could see Echoe interact with Rex in another clone spin-off, plus it's called the Bad Batch, not Rex and Echoe. Omega is a clone of a bounty hunter who chose her own way of life, just like her brothers, to fight for freedom and democracy. Grogu is a child and hangs out with Djarin through lasers and stuff.

I thought you hit it spot on when you said it was mid. there was so much filler that I considered stopping watching multiple times. Im glad I stayed with it because Season 3 was the best one. Season 2 almost made me stop watching the show because it felt like almost all of it was filler. I went into season 3 after season 2 with low expectations and it was really good. My favorite episode is definitely the one with crosshairs on that snow base with Mayday. Ill also say that starwars has a problem with faking deaths, so I didn't care when Tech died, because I thought we would get him back.

in a way a lot happened on this show but at the same time not that much happened. i mean the famous project necromancer that was half the series plot was never trully explained what it was. we can asume it was about clonning palpatine and "the sequels" but i dont know i feel the show looked good but there was not that much to tell. even thou there was all this stuff of he clone rebellion and the start of the empire but we never focused of that. i trully belive the best episode of the show was tha one of rex and senator chani on coruscant. when non of the protagonist were present. or the few crooshair episodes working for the empire to see what was happening to the galaxy from that side. Or at least thats how i feel about the show.
