Mr. Sproul, kee shining that Divine heavenly light. We here are digesting it internally. When Jesus was baptized, he repented of no misdeeds; he made no confession of sin. His was the baptism of consecration to the performance of the will of the heavenly Father. On that day of baptism ended the purely human life of Jesus. The divine Son has found his Father, the Universal Father has found his incarnated Son, and they speak the one to the other. Thank You 🙏

The Lords name us Yeshua

I hope I understand Dr. Sproul's sermon correctly and have written down my understanding about his sermon here in a brief summary: I understand Dr. Sproul's sermon on the baptism of our Savior and Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ, by John the Baptist. The criminal on the cross could not be baptized with water as he hung by the side of our Savior on the cross. It was the AMAZING GRACE OF GOD and the PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS and OBEDIENCE of our SAVIOR, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, that saved this man.... The criminal entered paradise without water baptism without any works of his own merit. The PERFECT OBEDIENCE, which is the PERFECT WORK of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, which includes HIS baptism by John the Baptist and HIS PERFECT WORK on the cross, saved the repentend sinner on the cross and saves each repentend sinner. JESUS WAS WITHOUT SIN, HE IS GOD IN THE FLESH. JESUS IS HOLY; JESUS not only obeyed the LAW, HE fulfilled the LAW. Therefore JESUS was perfect in everything, because HE is HOLY. HE obeyed GOD when he was baptized by John the Baptist. And the PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS OF JESUS CHRIST, HIS BAPTISM, HIS PERFECT WORK on the cross, saves us sinners from Hell. We are imperfect, we are unholy, so only a HOLY GOD can accomplish the work for us un -holy people. This PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST saves us wretched sinners from a horrific destiny of ending up in hell forever. Even if people are saved on their deathbed or are in a place where there is no water and therefore cannot be baptized, like the repentant criminal on the cross, all sinners are saved by GOD'S AMAZING GRACE and by the PERFECT RIGTHEOUSNESS OF OUR SAVIOUR, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. OUR ENTIRE SALVATION IS ONLY GOD'S WORK. IT IS THE WORK OF GOD FOR us wretched sinners. GOD has chosen us before the foundation of the World, GOD Draws our hearts to our SAVIOUR, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. GOD grants us HIS GIFT OF REPENTANCE; HE grants us HIS GIFT OF SAVING FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST; GOD GIVES US HIS GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO DWELL IN us FOREVER, sothat we are able to LOVE GOD, OBEY GOD and so we are able to be conformed into the image of CHRIST!! AMAZING GRACE!!! HOW WONDERFUL IS OUR GOD! HOW MUCH WE HAVE TO THANK OUR ABBA, ALMIGHTY GOD AND HIS WONDERFUL, AMAZING GRACE. HE came down from heaven to earth and dwelt here with humanity. HE was rejected, despised, mocked and hated when HE was on earth. HE endured the most horrible death on the cross for us wretched sinners and HE endured the condemnation of HIS FATHER'S wrath on HIMSELF while bearing the horrific burden of our millions of sins on HIMSELF. THANK YOU ALMIGHTY GOD! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! PLEASE HELP US TO BE EVEN MORE THANKFUL FOR YOUR LOVE FOR US!!! PLEASE HELP US to BELIEVE YOU MORE!!! their is no reason whatsoever to call the Lord by any other name.. Yeshua. whats wrong that they have to "translate". its phony. The Lords name Is Yeshua. why Jesus. i looked up the tranlation reasons being its rather translate Yeshua to Jesus lesous the geeek term translate to English is lesous. Absolutely no reason to call Him the Lord anything but His name Yeshua. I love Sproul and MacArthur. But this has bothered me for some time. My heart says Yeshua...

The great RC sproll doesn't even know why Jesus was dipped in water. He doesn't even know what the term baptizo means. If he does he sure didn't say it. And he doesn't know what procelyte baptism is apparently. Because he didn't mention that either. You would think that a great scholar would have read books on the culture and the customs of the Jews at that time. Then he would have known what the process involved water. And that's what Jesus was doing.
