This just popped up on my feed. I bet you miss this bike. I have a white 2007 RK Classic that I picked up two years ago with less than 12K miles. I have already doubled the number of miles. The Road King is the quintessential motorcycle!

I had that exact bike 2004 Road King with the exact color scheme except this one has an aftermarket seat. You can sit on this bike all day and never get tired, thanks it brought back a lot of good memories.

You must be living right to come across such a great find as that bike. There's no bike better than a Road King. Safe riding.

Shawn, I had a 99 Road King Classic and for @ 18 months, it was my only transportation. It is a tremendous, awesome motorcycle. Solid, stable, reliable. I sold it and still regret that. Currently have an 08 Goldwing=nirvana. Good vid, safe travels!

Holy smokes, no wonder I didn't recognize where you pulled the bike out of the shop in your RK lives video. I thought you were pulling out of Columbia H-D and things didn't jive when you pulled around the corner in that video. On this video when you pulled to the store front and I saw Pro Cal then it made sense. I picked up a 2004 Honda Rune from the store in 2009 and then my bro/sis in law has 2 Raiders purchased there. We actually went to the store to find me a Raider and the Rune was out front so I wound up with that instead. Picked up a 2009 Raider the following year to add to my collection. Anyway, family is part of the Star chapter you all sponsor so pretty cool to connect this way. We'll see if this posts up. I didn't see this video until after I had purchased the bike and when I returned to Iraq. Been doing this contractor stuff for around 6 years now. Need to take time and ride. I did put on around 10,000 miles last year riding to Seattle, Vancouver and then Sturgis. You were real close to my place when you made the Utah trip. Wow awesome find man. 2002 was the last year the engines had a strong bottom end with the timken crank bearings. Nowdays that is a big money engine upgrade but was factory in 2002. I have a 2002 dyna wide glide with the carbureted 88 engine. I may own aa new bike one day but will NEVER sell the 2002. 2002 was a good year for sure. Thankfully mine had a carburetor in 02 as thats what i wanted for the sound and simplicity

i picked up an 02 heritage last year w/20k on it at a used car dealer. some guy traded it in on a car and the bike sat for a while at the dealer and i bought it in the middle of winter and got a wicked good buy. i love the thing, but it has way loud pipes on it, gotta fix that.

Shawn, are the tires ok after sitting for ten years? I would think those tires are a little hard for high speed twisties. I think I would replace the belt and tires before a long trip.Still admiring that Road King dam thats sweet.

I find it hard to beleive if engine not had oil pumping around the system it would have all sorts of issues amonst carb problems...

wooohooo, damn, I gotta admit man, I'm a bit jealous, haha. What a find! What did you snag it for, if ya don't mind me asking? Those don't look like the regular HD side cases, are they? Maybe they're just not new ones.. Also, about the brake fluid, if it's not used a lot (1500mi), it won't be too dirty, but it probably has a good amount of moisture in there, so I'd say get it out. I love the rumble of a sporty, but it doesn't sound anything like the rumble of a TC. That looks like it has the left joy stick for the cruise, is it? Or am I seeing things? Real awesome bike man. That's honesty going to be the perfect bike for your long ass commute.

Hey sir finally I find someone that has what I believe to be is down to earth mechanical know how so I got a question what makes the Sportsters have the loud Rocker Boxes and what's involved in a worry free fix that not crazy money set of new lifters and maybe aftermarket adjustable push Rods ? Or worse I put ear protection in for the long ride from buying it to home well to my surprise as I got gas the damn thing sounds like flock of damn geese flying over an bag of hammers unclearly coming what I think is the top end but once close to home I busted its ass and said letter fly apart and carried front wheel few inches for 75 yards or so once it was cold it's still loud but still I am 4th generation Mechanical and can't ignore this like everything on the internet its against all principles of Turning wrenches any info wld be greatly appreciated from Tennessee A fat boy that can't even Ride His 1st damn Hawg he's ever owned awesome info on the flashing I got the the mack Daddy set up for auto an some watercraft is all I can do unless Snap-On Mod is makes more available at update time

Kinda makes me sad. There is a tragedy in that bike's past, a rider who had high hopes and a love for that machine, but suddenly was unable to ride for some reason, probably bad. I hope I am wrong. At any rate, she is a gorgeous bike! Have fun, give that bike the love and attention she has always deserved, and stay safe out there!
