I like the new logo. The basement is coming along nicely, I appreciate watching walls go from raw drywall to painted and trim finished.

You are killing it brother!! Kudo's to you and all the work you've got done, it looks 1st rate. Your wife's got great taste in colors and decorations. Absolutely love what you did with the stairs for your kids. What a great play area for them.

Basements don't exist here, but if I had one I would make it a wood paneled 1950's rec room with 12 inch ceiling tiles and recessed incandescent lights. i hate drywall, it gets damaged moldy and echoes sound so badly. Home gym in all that noise would be unpleasant for people like me. If you are putting a home theater in there adding accoustical treatment may be a good idea.

Sheetrock is king around here. You do have a point about mold, but planning ahead for moisture prevention is key. The sheetrock will help keep the sound in the basement. Behind the sheetrock, there is a ton of Rockwol sound insulation. A large sectional and number of floor rugs should help dampen the sound within the basement.
