Thank u!! I’ve been doing this for awhile now and I absolutely adore black light art however, what I was missing was adding back in the layer of white, so I was using tremendous amounts of neon paint trying to “fill in”. This will save me much aggravation and paint!! ❤

Sorry for the delayed reply. I updated my description to include a link to one I recommend. It’s inexpensive and I’ve had this particular blacklight for years. The LED ones last a long time. :)

About phosphorescent paint? In fluid art it always seem to crack

I want to paint fractals on my white mesh drum heads with UV paint and then light them from below (inside the drum shell) with UV LEDs (which will chase in a spiral). But she says to first paint a black surface, which would block the UV light from below....hm....and ideas or thoughts from the community?

Painting on a canvas is different than what you’re trying to accomplish. If you’re trying to shine through I would recommend just straight UV paint and see what that looks like. If you need a more solid pigment you can mix tiny bits of white in your UV paint and still get the UV effect. Just know, it will take some of the vibrancy out of the color. Good luck!

I'm looking for a paint that we can use on the floor that would react to black or uv light.... The thing would be natural light would have to stay on.... So the black lights and paint would have to be powerful enough to overcome natural light..... Looking for some help and advice

Would the floor be epoxied? With enough black lights mounted around the room, blacklight paint will still fluoresce, just not as brightly if the white lights were off.

Why should it be dead flat top coat? Will satin cause any issues with it glowing under black light? I have painted wooden animals to be in a black light room in a rental cabin . I’d like to seal it . The paint has a satin finish. So I was considering a satin sealer .

Satin finish it totally fine. I prefer dead flat because it reduces glare. :)
