The Bass Station 2 has the most creative sequencer

Woah, had a bit of a delay getting this next video done and uploaded but lots has happened. We've been getting great feedback about our latest single and more and more of you seem to be arriving on the channel each day which is amazing for us.
Anyhow today we've been playing around with the sequencer on the Bass Station 2. This thing is amazing for coming up with complex patterns and rhythmical ideas. It's as easy as punching in some notes in key and then simply seeing what the rhythm control brings back. This feature is amazing and I'd love to see more synthesizers using something similar. Added a little saturation, some reverb and delay in the DAW.
All recorded and edited using Cakewalk by Bandlab and Hit Film Express.

It really is, this was the first analogue synth I purchased and I'm still surprised every time I get it out 👍👍

Very nice piece. I have a couple with this on my page as well. They're a bit frenzied aggressive styled, but yours is actually very heart warmingly smooth and beautiful. Pulls at your heart.

@@TheOceanBeneath I arrived 2 days ago! But...the top Arp knob has already disintegrated around the bottom and the one beneath it will also go I assume. Also the Mod wheel is sticky. I checked online, these are known issues with the plastics/rubbers when they are exposed to high humidity. I messaged Novation, hopefully they will send replacement knobs. However, once the Pitch and Mod wheel rubbers go I will leave them off as the look of the wheels lit up with out the black rubber on top looks great, seen a pic online.

@@ckproductions9615 that sucks man, fingers crossed the guys at @NovationTV can help you out. I'm sure they will be able to advise your best move. I've never had any issues with the knobs on the one I have so I would say it should be okay.

Such a cool trick. Thanks! FWIW Try this same sort of fun with an AFX mode sequence to come up with cool percussion grooves.

Very nice! Im still trying to figure out the different rythm selections on the sequencer. The descriptions i read where a bit "acidy" mayby i should just go with the flow, the knob is stepless so i should try sweeping the knob during long sequence lines.

can someone help me? is it possible to switch from sequence 1 to sequence 2-4 while sequence 1 is playing. is then sequence 1 playing to the end and then playing the next sequence?

Hey thanks for stopping by. Unfortunately I think the sequence will only change as you turn the dial.

@@TheOceanBeneath thanks for your answer. when i am playing sequence 1 and switch(hand) to another sequence, is sequence 1playing to end and then the next sequence starts(without interruption)? Pattern chain

Hey, thanks for dropping by. At the time this was recorded using a Scarlett 2i2 and then in to Bandlab, I've since switched over to Ableton Live for all recording purposes.

@@djghettofunk2530 No worries, if you look top left corner you'll see I have the record enabled from the beginning with the steps going up with every key press or click of the rest/legato buttons. When the phrase is complete and I want to playback switch from record to playback and enable arp/latch buttons then hit the the key of the first note for your sequence to play from there. Hope that better explains for you.
