I saw a where you can unscrew the screws from underneath the car to take off the plastic mold on top to easily place your McFarlane figure inside.

@Ibrahim_M yeah, The Batman figure is tough to get in there because his costume is so thick, and the cape is the biggest problem. I'm going to have to get the cloth cape one from the movie 6pack now because I have the cloth cape Michael Keaton from the 89 Batmobile and I got him in and out of there with a lot less difficulty. I even fit the Drifter in there, but it wasn't easy, lol. If you have any of the Selina Kyle's from The Batman figures, practice with her. She's small and skinny enough that she just slides right in. She's a little TOO small once she's in there, though, and slides all around. I need to figure out a way to make seatbelts, lol

Nice! Easier to slide him in through the window with all of the articulation, I imagine. I bet the Mafex would also.

I know that store exclusives and other weird practices like that can be baked into contracts sometimes (it was like that with the NECA turtles stuff because Playmates has the rights to all TMNT toys forever), but man. Mattel really did a great job with this car. 1) They released a $500 version with a ton of bells and whistles that was too expensive more most of us. 2) Then they did a preorder for this version ($100) that was limit 5 per and up forever. 3) It's still available. I've seen people TRY to scalp it, but they can't. It would be nice if everything was like that. From the outside looking in it seems like it was really easy!

@@Ibrahim_M Yep. Mattel, McFarlane... these comps seem to CARE about the stuff they make and for those who buy it. The CEO of NECA once stated they must not make too many units of an item or the collector value will tank and they will go out of business. The man is obviously just intelligent enough to swindle a buck from his fellow man, but not tie his shoe. And Hasbro are even dumber in that they label just about everything they unveil as an "EXCLUSIVE". I don't think they realize they actually have cool toys people young and older will assuredly buy--IF the fuckers would just keep those Pre-Order buttons working infinitely.

@@troymay7362 What's interesting is that McFarlane was the top figure sales company in 2021, I believe. And they just put out cool figures that everyone can find, pretty much. Seems like it could be that simple for all of them.

@@h.b.nielsen5619 I believe it! I honestly only found out it was on Amazon yesterday and updated the link. Before it was linked to Mattel, where it’s sold out. I just assumed it was not at retail anywhere because of the Mattel Creations special order nature of it. Glad I got mine when I did but I wouldn’t have minded paying $25 less for it, haha.

The one from Jazzinc does. It’s 1/6 scale, just hitting customers this week. But check out their channel because they show the full details. It’s pretty incredible.

I’ve been saving little tubes and other bits and pieces to put together a rough version of it to cover the seat.

Thank you for the insight! My relationship with RC cars is pretty much "Can I customize them to go with my figures", so this is good to know, haha. Yeah, I bet you can probably unscrew it from the bottom and remove the shell, but in my experience there are always some other pieces integrated that make it much harder than just doing that. I'm lucky that my collection is focused on the figures standing next to the cars, but it is always nice to know they can go inside.

That really sucks about your range. Both my spin master RC cars go a good way beyond 20 ft at the same 2.4 ghz.

That really bummed me out, too. I was planning on getting one and then Mattel announced this version and I was very relieved. If it’s any consolation, a buddy of mine has the Spinmaster one and it’s too big for the McFarlane figure. I saw another review that showed even the giant Darkseid/Batman McFarlane figure was a bit small for it. Seems more like a 1:8 scale.

@@Ibrahim_M I even got to speak to Spin master and ask directly and the rep confirmed no plans for US release. I did ask her to file a request on my behalf and I encourage everyone who wants to see it do the same. I told her how many 1/12 & 1/10 collectors would really like to have it. I saw a couple of videos from folks in the UK and it looked okay scaled, that's helpful info though about your buddy and I feel less upset hearing that. If you spend some time scouting ebay you can eventually grab the Costco exclusive batmobile for around $20. Typically they're double, but persistence paid off for me and I actually have two now.

@@h.b.nielsen5619 I actually got the Costco one for about that price. I had plans to convert it to a Keaton version, but I've seen that McFarlane is planning one for a fairly affordable price so I'm pretty hyped about that.

Right? Now, I get that this is a new product for them, and so there is a more significant cost in producing it. But in the end of the day, as consumers we look at that and we think "that Mattel Batmobile was based on the same dodge charger, jas a lot of intricate detailing, is an RC car, and it's less than 1/3 of the price". It's hard to justify it.
