I loved the Ridder as the main villain, mainly because it was a character that hadn’t been used in modern Batman movie at the time. I hope they continue use villains that haven’t been portrayed on the big screen as much, like Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Hush, or even crazier characters like Man-Bat or Clayface, although those guys are even less likely.

I hope Batman 2 will help us look deep into the Villains' origins and how they became Gotham's greatest villains and Batman's adversaries. I want a deep look into Two-Face or Mr.Freeze's horrifying stories of their past.

Batman felt like a refresher after all these mcu movies and turned out amazing👏🏾

I think Scarecrow would make a great villain in the sequel, make him terrifying like the Batman Arkham games. But of course I want even more of Riddler, I love the movie so I'm definitely going to see it again in two days.

If Joker is going to be in this series, then I'd like to see him as Batman's Moriarty, working in the shadows at first with his guiding had, then really revealed as a main villain in the 3rd film.

I think mr freeze is perfect for the sequel. With gotham flooded, its be awesome if it froze over!!

I think fans have really been clamoring for Robin again in the movies, just done properly this time. Not utilizing the Batfamily in movies really limits what makes the character so great

I thought Robert Pattinson wouldn’t be a good Batman, but I honestly take it back, he did an excellent job. I honestly want to see Hush, The Court of Owls, or Hugo Strange as the next villain for the sequel. I think the Joker should be setup as the big bad villain for Batman, like the MCU did with Thanos and the Avengers. I really don’t want to see the Joker be the villain for the next sequel. But it be great to set him up as the big bad villain for Batman for the final Batman movie.

I’d love to see Ventriloquist, Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and Hush in these upcoming movies. This world of Matt Reeves is perfect for those villains.

I hope the future villains will be Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, Joker and the Court of Owls. Joker’s film could even have him break out all the villains and have them turn Gotham into a battlefield. Riddler can keep believing Joker is his friend when in reality he is just being manipulated since Joker knows how to play with someone’s mind. Edit to just include ideas and fan casts. Freeze could work if he’s similar to the Gotham version, trying to save his dying wife Nora BEFORE going through the accident that caused him to only survive in sub zero temperatures. His freeze gun could work if instead of shooting a blue laser beam, it shoots white cryo gas. He could go through the accident where the cryo gas tank on his back blows up, and in the end credits scene, you don’t see his frozen body hinting he survived. I do want to see his complicated storyline, where he is a good man underneath that armor, he just wants to save his wife. I can see Giancarlo Esposito playing Freeze. Scarecrow could work as a cruel Arkham Asylum doctor who experiments on the patients with his Fear Toxin (which is his version of the Drops drug) and this movie could introduce the Batwing/Batplane as Batman may need it to fly towards some of Scarecrow’s bombs. I want Robert Englund to play him, Freddy Krueger himself! Joker’s film could show him watching news on Batman defeating all his enemies and he soon becomes a fan of his, knowing they have a history together, he declares himself the Joker and escapes with all his new “friends” being evil just to be the opposite of Batman, a symbol of Chaos rather than a gangster. This movie could introduce Robin or a version where he’s not Robin yet, just a circus boy who helps Batman when the circus is taken over by Joker’s men. The Court of Owls will be the best one yet and I can’t wait to see how Bruce handles it, a secret about his city he never knew about. The Talons would be his toughest foes yet since they’re trained assassins. Thomas and Martha could’ve been members of the Court, but I think a better idea would be Bruce is paranoid about who is a member of the Court, everyone from Gordon, to the new mayor, and the best part of this is Batman isn’t the one who dismantles the Court, he takes down the Talons sure but it’s ultimately Joker who kills the Court by bombing their hideout as he doesn’t like anyone hogging his spotlight and thinks he should be the one who brings Gotham down

The moment they showed that the city was flooded I I immediately thought about Mr. Freeze. Also, maybe not for the next movie but I would love to see a Batman movie where a good chunk of it takes place in the Arkham asylum where Batman is fighting off a bunch of villains.

I feel that the friendly skull gang member in the beginning of the film is hinted at being a major character in a future film for the batman since he didn't want to hurt anyone and even tried stopping the other member from using his gun. What if the friendly skull gang member is forced to live on the streets and hang out with gangs in order to survive and I feel that this is a perfect way to set up a robin for this batman. I'm not seeing many people talk about this.

Just saw it yesterday in IMAX and loved it. Pattinson definitely lived up to being Batman. I was very skeptical about it but I enjoyed it a lot. Paul Dano as the riddler did a really good job too. His laugh at the end was priceless

i was kinda disappointed that we're getting another joker BUT after hearing what Reeves talked about with the biological side of him and how he might be a main character in that Arkham series I think I'm warming up to the idea

Seeing Batman use venom was one of the best moments in the movie. I think it’s a smart move having cameos for villains in the movies since it would be tuff to fit them all in at once. I’d love to see more villain cameos.

I appreciate how Matt reeves’ joker origin sounds heavily inspired by the man who laughs horror film, which was the original inspiration for joker in the comics

The current state of Gotham being mostly under water with a power grab is the PRIME time to do Mr. Freeze. Him, plus more penguin, and a set up for Two Face by having him suffer from severe frost bite or something would be really intriguing in my opinion. Especially as Bruce deals with his own duality going forward between being batman and being the billionaire face ya know. Though TDK did something similar so it’d be hard for Reeves to do the same sort of thing without drawing a lot of criticism even if it may actually work better in this context.

I do like the idea of joker and Batman being half brothers it could add to the idea of why they have a huge rivalry but also it could in this universe Batman wants to help the joker be cured because he’s the only blood family he has left

I would love to see some villains that can attack Pattinson’s Batman in a mental and psychological way like Scarecrow, Mad Hatter or even Hugo Strange.

Scarecrow was set up throughout the whole movie.. batman and riddler cause FEAR.. also some of the Halloween costumes seems Scarecrow esc.. Harvey dent will appear in the second movie as a side character full good guy all movie.

One great character choice I would love to see is two-face. His character story would definitely tie into the setting of this movie. Haven't seen it. Just wanted to give my thoughts on it. Not going to watch the full video until I've seen this movie

I’m still gonna hold out hope for a Hugo Strange appearance somewhere down the road. Be it in the movies or the Arkham series. He has so much potential in this universe that Matt Reeves has crafted, a perfect adversary to this world’s greatest detective version of Batman.

I know we all feel bombarded with Jokers, with even the fact his own movie is getting a sequel. But Matt Reeves’ Joker sounds really interesting and I need to see that scene with my fellow Irish lad Barry Keoghan 🇮🇪 (which is still fascinating to me how you guys butcher his name 😂) in full glory

What I find weird, no one has mentioned the scarecrow! There was a lot of drug references within the Batman film. The symbols on the drops drug packets, kinda resembles the scarecrow. People highly addicted to a possible Hallucination type drug. Could this be used as a good story filler in Batman 2???

I really hope we get a Robin I really want to see the Batfam on screen but in a serious way not a campy way. I hope Mr. Freeze is next. Also maybe I'm in the minority but I actually think it could be cool to see a Fantastical villain in a movie where everything else is super grounded, I mean it's already got horror vibes so why not use like Man Bat, or Solomon Grundy, or one of the Clayfaces? (Which I think Bazlo Carlo Clayface maybe could be done in a realistic way if you rework a few things) I don't know I just think it would be cool to see this realistic world then all the sudden a Scientist turns himself into a Giant Bat and just terrorizes the city, or maybe they go more like the Vulture and Man Bat just built some kind of suit with Bat wings to fly around?

I would love to see scarecrow in this universe. I feel like the psychedelic/psychological approach isn’t too ungrounded. I feel like they haven’t done justice to this character and would be really interesting to see

Honestly, I really do not wanna see Hush in these movies ever, the Riddler filled his role IMO But on to other things, ideally for the second movie I'd like to see Bane or Penguin as a side villain and Mr. Freeze as the main villain, both Bane and Freeze deserve better interpretations on the big screen

I would love to see this version of the Batman explore the fantastical. I don't want everything grounded. It keeps us from exploring more interesting characters and themes, and makes the Batman just someone who likes to beat up on stereotypical mobsters. I do hope the sequel reveals the true secret mastermind of Gotham to being Mr. Freeze. He stays hidden deep within the club featured in this film in a cold room. We find out that a lot of the money laundering going on through the charity was being used to fund his research into curing his wife of her disease. Which places an ethnical dilemma onto Batman.

Id hate to see a freeze gun or anything sci-fi in this batman world i love how realistically based it is

There is so many good villains with potential. I just want to see new ones. We’ve seen joker, bane, riddler, dent and scarecrow. Seeing them in this universe would be nice but I want to see new villains as the main threat.

Personally I would love it if the joker was in the next film, but in prison.And batman only visits him when he needs info, or the joker talks to the villain after Batman sends him there.,Keep the focus on other villains. That be a nice way to keep joker fans happy and keep the saga fresh at the same time.

I really like the idea of Reeves going back to the source and trying to replicate the The Man Who Laughs look. I love the way Jack Nicholson could look angry with a smile still stuck on his face. I miss that look. Scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.

I think that the best villains to use are either-Black Mask,Mr.Freeze or Two-Face and here’s my casting for who should play them are: Bill Scarsgärd as Two-Face or Richard Madden as Two-Face. Mark Strong as Mr.Freeze or Mads Mikkelsen as Two-Face. Bobby Cannavale as Black Mask or Frank Grillo as Black Mask.

I loved Barry keoghan 😭and people are shitting on his performance. I was really excited, I know his gonna bring something different to joker. It just breaks my heart no one is showing him love. And he was playing a version of Joker that is not developed to his persona yet.

They mention the Gotham renewal fund was used to fund projects so maybe one of those was Freeze’s experiment with Nora and loses funding due to Bella Reál ending the Gotham renewal fund

What if this Joker was this Bruce’s first “failure” and it was one of Batman’s first outing’s as the Batman and he made an error causing the Joker’s accident

If they decide to have Mr. Freeze in a sequel how would they make him fit in this grounded world that Matt Reeves has depicted in The Batman. The only way I think he could adapt Freeze is to swap out the cryogenics for some sort of disease/virus that burns the victim up raising their core temperature to deadly levels. Swapping out the cryo-suits for some sort of hazmat outfit that has a cooling system to keep him alive built into it, that has to be topped up with some sort of Liquid Nitrogen-esqe chemical, that can also be weaponised to be be shop as a liquid spray gun or a vapour cannon. And for Clay Face the only way I could see that character being adapted is in Seth Brundle The Fly body horror. where a scientific experiment has gone wrong. But instead of gradually turning in to a fly, the accident has made him in to some sort of The Blob/Akira type of creature that is absorbing the DNA of the victims that he comes in to contact with but it also destroys the people he touches. Including friends and family members he may have come in to contact with. and finally becoming a mentally and physically destroyed being that has to be stopped.

I think Mr. Freeze will be the next villain. The flood is a perfect thing for him. He could literally send Gotham into an ice age.

Villains that need a new version are poison ivy, scarecrow, mr freeze and Zsasz. Villains that I wanna see make another good version are two face, bane, and obviously joker/Harley Quinn.
