സഹസ്രാബ്ദങ്ങൾക്ക്‌ മുൻപെങ്ങോ കാനനവാസിയായ മനുഷ്യൻ ഗുഹകൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്‌ രാപാർക്കാൻ ഗ്രാമങ്ങൾ നിർമ്മിച്ചു. നദിയുടെ സംഗീതം പോലെ സ്വച്ചമായിരുന്നു ആ മൺകുടികളിൽ അവന്റെ ജീവിതം. പക്ഷേ കാലം എന്ന പ്രളയ ജലത്തിന്റെ കുത്തൊഴുക്കിൽ പെട്ട്‌ ആ പാവം മനുഷ്യൻ എവിടെ ഒക്കൊയോ എത്തിപെട്ടു... കാലം അതാണ്‌ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം... അത്‌ മാത്രമാണ്‌ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം. പക്ഷേ അശ്വവേഗം പൂണ്ട കാലപ്രഹാത്തിന്റെ ആസുര താളത്തിനു മുൻപിൽ കീഴടങ്ങി ജനസാമാന്യം മുന്നോട്ട്‌ നീങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ, ചില മനുഷ്യർ ചില "ചീത്ത" മനുഷ്യർ അരൂപിയായ കാലപുരുഷനെ വരുതിയിലാക്കാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടിറങ്ങി. യുദ്ധകാഹളത്താൽ കാലത്തെ പ്രകമ്പനം കൊള്ളിച്ച്‌ അവർ ഭൂമിയിൽ മനുഷ്യരക്തം ഒഴുക്കി... ഒരിക്കലും നിലയ്ക്കാത്ത ചോരപ്പുഴകൾ... അങ്ങനെ ആ യോദ്ധാക്കൾ ഭൂമിദേവിക്ക്‌ നിണതർപ്പണം ചെയ്യാൻ ഒരുക്കിയ കുരുതിക്കളങ്ങളിലാണ് ശ്രാസ്ത്രം അഥവ സയൻസ്‌ പിച്ചവച്ച്‌ തുടങ്ങിയത്‌...
Gist of the Story:
The Battle of 73 Easting was fought on 26 February 1991, during the Gulf War, between Coalition armored forces and Iraqi armored forces . It was named for a UTM north-south coordinate line (an "Easting", measured in kilometers and readable on GPS receivers) that was used as a phase line by Coalition forces to measure their progress through what the Iraqis thought was trackless desert.

This reports the tank battle between Iraq with T-72 and US with Abrams. Several doubts. 1) The Abrams tanks move around hunting whereas T-72 are 'sitting ducks' waiting to shoot at the Abrams riding in on the desert highway. 2) the Abrams had CHOBHAM composite armor that is claimed to be non-penetrateble by projectiles from T-72. But the T-72 could only target within 2000 m whereas Abrams had 2500m range. The sitting T-72 could not target the Abrams safely moving in the 2000-2500 m range. 3) the GPS available to Abrams allowed it to maintain the 2000-2500 m distance with the T-72. Plausible. My feeling is that the T-72 and other Iraqi mechanized infantry vehicles were targeted by GPS aided Apache attack helicopters with missiles; not by Abrams

NO..20th century Kanda ettavum valiya tank war Battle of Kursk anu where Wehrmacht and Red Army tank armies fought in 1943 when Field Marshal Gunther von Kluge's Army Group Centre and Army Group South commanded by Fielmarshal Eric von Manstein fought against Russian Voronezh front of Marshal Vatutin and General Rokossovsky's Army Group Centre. Later Marshal Zukhov also directed 5th Guards tank Army of General Rotmistrov also to Prokhorovka which sealed the German failure.
