You could use the LAAT's as a strategic method by hotdropping troops into battle or taking the wounded back to the buildings would look fun and would love to see a proper siege of rothana

Yes, good idea. Will need to be more nuanced with my LAAT strategies. Will allow for a proper Rothana siege, too.

Ah also I forgot I meant to mention. It's not that the fleets just spawn in and the AI have an advantage that way. AI builds fast and gets more money than you based on the difficulty, but they also have one more advantage which explains the "sudden popping up of fleets". When the AI sees you move a fleet, they may decide to send a fleet to the same planet. If your fleet beats it there, the AI's fleet will automatically be at the planet, and be included in the battle. Sometimes the AI will be moving forces around and have sent something from across the map, which will arrive usually by itself well after you've taken a planet so you may have to plan around that. Your forces don't get the advantage of the cheaty hyperspace mechanic.

Love the throwbacks to some of the old games. The Havok bomber and Mere Cruiser are from star wars Starfighter or Jedi Starfighter, one of the two of them. Haven't thought of that game in ages but seeing those names instantly took me back to it! Loving the gameplay and like someone else said, your commentary is super chill and doesn't really break the flow of the game or video. Keep up the amazing work!

I noticed that you said how you wanted to take THREE venators into the Atzerri battle for a canon fleet formation, but ended up only taking two of them. Considering how well you handled those Lucrehulks with the hangar focusing tactics, that third venator would've made all the difference.

Duro was significant for being a core founding member planet of the original republic, as well as the starting point for Grevious’ core worlds campaign called “Durge’s Lance” which saw the death of billions during the early clone wars. :)

Might want to consider the attack move on fighters rather than the hunt skill. The skill tends to send them all over the place.

When you use hunt for targets so many squadrons just go off in random directions I don't think it's worth it unless you're trying to mop up stragglers you can't find. Also newer viewer here, and glad to be here. Fall of the Republic is neat but I wanted to see more of this mod again

Question: It seems like you don't often use the ability on the Venator and Acclamator-class cruisers to fire all batteries like what you did with the Imperial Star Destroyers here and I wonder why that is. I've seen it be used to great effect in other videos before and I feel like it would've served you well a few times in previous videos, such as in the surprise attack against Corellia.

Agreed, it would benefit me a bit more if I use the "Fire All Batteries" ability. But, if I'm not mistaken, it drains the shields, hence why I only use it when the Venator is taking fire. So, we'll see. Might try it out a bit more. Thanks, Thrawn.

Also, I'm fairly certain the ability that drains the shields is the "Divert Power to the Weapons" one that the Victory-class and some of the corvettes have, but I could be missing something. As well, if the shields get too low, I think the second little icon on the Acclamators is an "All Power to Shields" ability. That might make them a little more tanky should you need it.

@SR Gaming i would say that when the rishi moon fell Palpatine had the cloning facilities was moved to the core mabye to the planet of foerost sence is on the map right next to coruscant (i dont think you can recruit non clone troops for ground forces thoue you can say that the navy would be mostly maned by non clone crews but still have clone marines

Yhaa I'm not gonna lie there needs to be a lot more galactic Marines, simply because they are so under represented so I feel like that when ever you get a chance you should spam training galactic Marines

Adding on to this I would probably be wanting to actually be securing those build pads and be building anti infantry and anti armor turret at random as you invade simply because they will be there when you inevitably get attacked

I don't think therg rushing into every battle and then having your ships hold still, never using defensive abilities or maneuvring damaged ships out of hot spots is a good strategy for the hard ai confederacy, but not good for the underdog republic.

I don't see that Rothana bit as cheating, the CIS is just stupid enough to not land vehicles first, so why shouldn't you be punishing their faulty strategy?

I tried to play this mod but the ai is way too aggressive. Also eventually it just starts spamming B2s and artillery tanks making ground battles a pain.
