This is "The Voice", why would you let your artist just play an instrument? I feel sorry for Bukhu.

In my opinion, This is more like a "collaboration" than a "battle" because in my opinion, a battle is where two people show their strength and fight for who is better and deserving to go to the next round.

i have to agree with Delta and Kelly, this is a singing contest, so it should showcase both talents voices

As a coach there’s a lot of songs you can let Bukuh shine on. It’s called giving him a verse or chorus to do it in his style. Throat singers have sang multiple pop songs. They could both shine on so many such as Zombie, Father by Demi or even a Queen song. Either way Bukuh just had to have the opportunity to showcase his talent more and he couldn’t. He obviously was uncomfortable on stage because if he says it’s unfair the show would have to redo the battle but then Guy would purposely not choose Bukuh. This obviously was going to end poorly for Bukuh but Delta and Kelly sticking up was absolutely amazing. Especially Kelly for not giving in one bit. George saw the moment but in a way sort of took Guy’s side and I don’t think Guy or George really took Bukuh seriously.

Never seen so much drama in any history of The Voice. The Voice Australia is really something

Honestly, I agree. Bukhu didn’t get the chance to showcase his voice at all. I mean I know it’s difficult to find a song that would actually be fair because of how unique Bukhu is. But it doesn’t change the fact that Bukhu didn’t get to showcase his vocals, and there’s just no way Bukhu ever could have won this battle. It was over before it even began, Bukhu had no shot.

I agree with Boy George, it's actually a good performance and I enjoy it. The problem is Guy didn't see this as a battle, he saw this just as a collaboration performance, and that's what make it unfair to Bukhu.

It's going to be awkward when Kelly coaches Guy's brother 😂

I can see Guy enjoyed the song so much... But he missed the point of the contest and The Battles. So proud of Delta and Kelly - well done ladies!

This is the problem with the Voice. You get lots of very unique performers in the blind auditions who then are forced into a particular mould for the battles that only really works for some styles of singer.

If you didn’t pick him for his vocals why would you turn around on “The voice Australia” I don’t believe this was the platform for Boku to create “a moment” with an instrument and 2 seconds of his unique ability. at the end of the day it’s a singing completion. And this is the BATTLE round, which in turn is a competition. Guy isn’t new to this, he’s trying to cover up a mistake with a special moment and that doesn’t seem like that’s going to fly. Cause when you choose a person who do you chose? The person who sang or do you rob the person you didn’t give a chance to sing more than 5 notes.

It's not even about song choice - I think that Guy didn't give Bukhu enough time to shine. He could have opened up the song acoustically with just his throat singing and playing, instead of just given a few measly lines in the middle of the song whilst he played his instrument the majority of the song.

Guy is a problem this season and he doesn’t seem to realize it, he’s just been a rollercoaster of emotions over all fairness to the show. He said that Johnny is more suited for the show, then why did you turn for bukhu in the first place. You should have stayed your ass around and just enjoyed his playing and musicianship and let one of the other coaches depict what kind of song to allow him the opportunity to keep going forward on the show.

Brave Delta she pointed that out. True enough, the Mongolian wasn’t even given leftovers, he had to make do with just the crumbs... 😩😒😪

Bukhu should’ve went on Australian got talent, not the voice. Battles, playoffs aren’t the best format for Bukhu to show off his musicianship, like how are you going to match him up with the other contestants, he’s too unique. 🤷🏻‍♂️

"The Voice" not "The Instrument"

I agree with both Guy and Delta/Kelly. Yes, Guy maximized the strengths of both artists in order to create the best overall performance, but at the same time he disadvantaged one of his artists in the context of this competition. I have a lot of issues with The Voice's format, but especially the Battle Rounds, because you're asking two artists to simultaneously collaborate and fight each other at the same time. Sometimes that works and pulls the best out of each artist, but it's usually a conflict of interest, especially when the artists are vastly different.

Nobody says the facts: Jonny was singing much more than bakhu, and he could sing so many songs, it had to be a better song choice for the both, taking their performance to another level of fairness, happiness and goosebumps

I'm Mongolian and I'm pissed off. This guy just defending himself is more disrespectful feeling for me.

This was just lazy on Guy's part.You don't have to find a Mongolian song that can incorporate both artists. You can take ANY popular pop song and break it down, then reconstruct it with Mongolian influences and in a way that can incorporate both their talents. Doesn't matter if it was Britney Spears' Toxic or Michael Jackson's Earth Song. You can have Bukhu play and throat sing the melody alongside an ambient backing track (like his audition), and have both of them sing various verses. The result might sound awful but when you pair two artists THAT different, you have to take that risk. Good or bad, at least they both get to perform and showcase what they can do. Wicked Game by Chris Isaak would've been a fantastic choice for the both of them. Because of how stripped back it already is, you can mess around with it, add to it, change the tempo etc without ever making it unrecognizable.

Guy should not be one of the coaches. He is not ready to be a coach, Artists might not grow from him 🤦🏻‍♂️

They should put Bukhu again in the competition because of this really UNFAIR ""battle"", this at least... ¿How many agree?

The way Guy was 100% arguing based on his own ego but he wanted to make KELLY seem like the one who was out of line... she was stating the truth and he was making it seem like she was being rude and angry for no reason feeding into a harmful stereotype. Bukhu deserved so much better and probably didn’t stand up for himself during rehearsals because GUY has all the power to pick him or not, and he expected to be treated fairly and given an equal opportunity. Did Guy give them the opportunity to speak up? Would you in their shoes when he is so obviously egotistical?

When the show becomes all about the judges and not the contestants. 🙄 Nothing but a good tv moment for them and the network! I felt bad on both contestants having to listen to all that shite

Btw the Ukraine Voice routinely puts singers of different genres together and gives them creative and interesting songs. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree with kelly and delta with this one. I think what they did was beautiful. But this wasn't a battle and obviously Bukhu was not able to showcase his musicality in terms of using his "voice". I think guy missed out the opportunity to showcase Bukhu's throat singing. That would've been more fair. As a coach, Guy should've or could've selected a pop song or whatever song, changed the arrangement to make it fit for both of the artists and not just ask one to sing most of the parts while the other was looking like he was doing the backing. An example would be when delta paired Clarissa (opera singer)and virginia. Or when George paired up the ASL guy with the other guy. In both occasion, one of the artists was using a different medium but at the same time, both coaches found a way to make it work, as a battle and as a performance that is a fair ground for both. Guy missed the essence of the battle. While he did sonething beautiful, he missed the opportunity to give both artist a fair and equal ground to be judged on. Bukhu deserved better.

What just happened. To be completely honest the whole idea of musicians competing is ridiculous. Its like saying Picasso is better than Van Gogh. Artists are unique and should be respected for their uniqueness.

I saw Bhuku winning the battles without hearing him sing. His musicality is way better than his opponent's performance. Bhuku might have set a record for winning "The Voice" even not singing any lyrics but purely winning with just his voice from his culture and his instrument. #whencoachesmessedup #coachesnotacoach

I was expecting some genius arrangement that would allow Bukhu and Johnny to BOTH reach incredible heights in their own epic climaxes - but yes, the arrangement was Johnny feat. Bukhu (and he didn't even get a verse, which they usually do). I'm glad to see Bukhu doing very well, far away from people who don't understand the complexities and richness of his voice and musical talents.

Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" would have been an awesome choice. Or Scorpions’ "Wind of Change." Imagine how Bukhu can attack these songs with his throat singing (the guitar riff in the Led Zeppelin or the whistle intro in Scorpions'). And Johnny has the range and energy for both. I assume that it would have gone Johnny's direction still. But at least Bukhu would have had a fighting chance. Guy doesn't seem to have an imagination that goes beyond the crowd-pleasing pop music.
