I've really grown a liking for walking random large river banks to see what kind of cool stuff has washed up from the murky depths! I typically hope to find antique bottles and relics from around 1920 and earlier, but let's be honest, the weird stuff is just as fun! This video has a little bit of both!

There should be tons of native pottery shards along that area I know in Ft Walton /Destin area I found a 5-gallon bucket full in 2 hours. There were no dumps until the '60s-'70s so everyone dumped their trash at the water's edge for some ignorant reason more than in the woods. I have been hunting bottle dumps since I was 6 my dad was an antique bottle seller. I hate to see nature look like that. I always carry out 3 5-gallon buckets of trash to try and make a difference. I like it when I see you guys do the same it is a good move. What is worse is that people still dump and throw stuff in the water.

Hey Kyle, soooo many things could be made out of the broken bottles. Wind chimes, even the spoons and fork make great little wind chimes. Cutting the tops off of those really old bottles, tumble and string them, cause even saving a small part of something old is great. Besides you could sell them and all us old ladies that love you would love to buy anything you make. Wow, never thought I'd be a groupie !

Lost your marbles, have you?? Lol! Thanks for the much needed smile today 😁 I would likes to crush some of that beautiful antique class and tumble them for jewelry and wind chimes. Crafts made with recycled antique glass from the river would probably sell fairly well. Maybe even selling the tumbled glass for other crafters. I will have to think on this. That stuff is way too pretty to be a hazardous mess. It would be nice to salvage even a little bit.

I love all of the marbles. I used to find ones like that in the yard of the house I grew up in. I miss them. I guess you could say that I lost my marbles....

The little fork is what they used to call a shrimp fork. The "Mum" on the white porcelain jar, was a cream deodorant. Love the mudlarking. Also, if you collect some of the intact bottom halves of those super old bottles, you could easily trim and smooth the edges and sell them with a candle, or a trinket holder, or a utensil holder for the counter, or even drinking glasses. I'd buy one! ;)

Nice finds! That ceramic beer bottle would have made a really neat little planter. I like to make little otherworldly planters and such with nice but not perfect old stuff. Like nature and the fairies are reclaiming things or something. Really nice spot, I hope you do get to snorkel out there soon!

It's always fun to find marbles . Sometimes you find them very unusual places . It crazy how often I have found them out in the middle of plowed fields when hunting arrowheads .

Back in the late 1950's I had a summer job on a dude ranch. The son of owner and a couple other guy help invited me to go to a local dump where they took their guns to shoot at all the glass. Now I look back and think sad thoughts about all the treasures they shot at for fun. At the time I was just happy to be included with some cute guys. It just amazes me to see you find so many treasures and even broke ones are a bit of treasure and time capsules. I sure enjoy watching your videos.

I went to an antique store yesterday and I got a meg tooth with gold wire already wrapped around it, I made it into an awesome necklace. The day before that my mom and I made some other necklaces from teeth we found ourselves a few years ago

I would bring a large recycling bin to collect the broken glass to help with finding more marbles and unbroken glass, that unbroken baby I would take definitely lol

Hope you saved that Grapico bottle, old ceramic type beer bottle & others. You can cut the top and smooth the rim, and make some cool old glasses . You'd have a COOL, Old drinking glass collection before long! Enjoyed the vid. Yes! Do more bottle hunts!

That was either a pickle fork or an oyster fork. I think they're really the same thing anyway, but that's why it was disproportionate. At first, I thought that the barnacle on the side of Yoda's face was his eyeball falling out. That would have been cooler, IMO. When you were picking up the spoons, there was a straight razor right by your hand and I was yelling at the screen, "look to the right!" Thank GOD Jerry found his marbles, since he lost them at one point. Looks like that one bottle had an open pontil!

Very cool spot. I would suggest bringing a potato garden fork to probe and also to dig with. Also the shards were not that rounded so maybe hasn’t traveled far . If possible ( bush looked pretty thick) I would try looking inland a bit as well Good luck and thx for sharing
