Great job! I especially like how you reverse all of the Paul parts to make it look left-handed. What's amazing to me about this song is that there's no rhythm guitar! I play this on acoustic... D7, G7, D7, G7, A7#5, Bm, G7, Bm, G7, Bm, E, A, D, G..... etc. Until seeing you play it, it never occurred to me that there's no rhythm guitar in it! Well done, Mike!

Drive My Car is so catchy, it could have been a No 1 single around the world. You wonder if they even considered releasing it that way.
@docsavage8640 Жыл бұрын
Whenever anyone talks about someone "will soon break the Beatles record for #1 singles" just remember how many album tracks the Beatles never released as singles that would easily have gone to #1, and the fact that they're comparing a 7-year career to acts spanning 30-40 years.
@tommybotts11 ай бұрын
@@docsavage8640 The Beats released 5 albums in 1964 and 4 in 1965! You're right, a band with longevity today might release 8 albums in 40 years, if they can manage to last that long.

Luv the video at the end. Such enthusiasm with a knowing, self deprecating irony. Great work all round. Thanks for clearing up the mystery of Paul 'playing slide on the solo'. Never realised it was actually a hybrid of traditional fingered bends and a slide.

Hey Mike. Fun fact. My Dad wrote Beep Beep. Donny Claps ..I always wondered when I heard that , being a huge Beatles fan …if that part of that song was a “wink wink say no more “ to The Playmates. My pops told me a funny story. . When they where touring England. They saw girls running around outside a theatre. And he asked the driver what’s going on. He said it’s this new band the Beatles. My dad thought “ huh” that’s a lot of crazy girls. Can I ask. Where you got this priceless piece of info and thank you so much You made my day and also my 91 year old mom

Hi Steve, I must have driven everyone nuts as I went around singing that song as a youngster. I could never quite decide if it was a Dash Traveller or a Rash Traveller but now with the aid of google I find it's a Nash Traveller. Better late than never, I guess it wasn't that clear on the old vinyl anyway. Thanks for the story, nice to think it may have inspired the Beatles.
