A walk to some historical places of The Beatles, Paul McCartney's childhood home.
Then through calderstones park a favourite place of John lennon growing up. Then onto John Lennons childhood home, then to strawberry fields and Eleanor rigby's grave at St Peters church in woolton.
Across to the hall where Paul first met john the place where it all started.

Finally! It’s good to see a 1930s house that doesn’t have UPVC windows replacing the original stained glass!

It's been kept in the condition it was in when John Lennon lived there, even all the interior and appliances are from the time he lived there, it is nice to see it like that, I'd love to go inside someday, you can book a tour of the inside of the house, not sure you can film in there though, thanks for watching , all the best 👍

Paul said he and John lived about a mile apart. John would go climb the walls and play on the grounds of Strawberry Field with the children that lived in the Salvation Army home. The proprietors didn’t like it, apparently and told Mimi about it. She said,”John, if you keep doing that they’re going to hang you.” So, John used it. “Nothing is real, and nothing to get hung about...”

It wasn't far, about 20 min walk, I'm thinking of doing more videos on the Beatles, revisit the houses and go to penny lane too and do a video on that , thanks for watching

Thank you for this video. I visited Paul's & John's places and Strawberry Field also Penny Lane & The Cavern at the end of September 2019. Also saw their statues near the museum and John's statue near the Cavern Club. I'm from Indonesia. 🙏

Thank you for the beautiful walk through those streets, you can feel the music in the structures and the trees, lovely light and shadows, those strawberry field gates are startling. Just magic imagery, I really enjoyed it.

I have sat in various people's front rooms over the years chatting to folk about the Beatles. And I remember sitting in the front room of 20 Forthlin Rd chatting to the curator of the house about the Beatles, then suddenly I fully realised that there I was in THE front room. The front room of all front rooms. THE room where the "magic happened". It really sent a chill down my spine. I have been to Mendips twice.

Only just found this, yeah been to both places. 20 Forthlin Road was where John and Paul hammerd away at their song writing, and the porch at Mendips was when they practiced their harmonies because of the acoustics.

I might make a few more videos eventually, one of George Harrison's houses are close to me , did you see my last video on John Lennon's house has the allerton oak tree? Have a look through my video list , it's the tree John Lennon was supposed to have climbed and made the wish to be the most famous person in the world, it's a 1000 year old oak tree 🌳
