It's more than obvious that Paul was expecting John to forget the lyrics, but he didn't so Paul was just disappointed. Paul was very nervous he forgot the lyrics in the first time of the chorus, both were actually nervous because of the screams , I think is hard to play and sing when girls are screaming at you and you have an Armónica around your neck

I think it must be so odd for him if Paul watches these videos now, to see himself next to John and with all the screaming girls (I guess his fans now are way less hysterical at his shows) and to remember beatlemania with the four of them altogether...😢😢

As usual when performing live Paul tries hard not to catch John's eye. John could barely stop himself smiling and laughing even when performing and Paul knew that he (Paul) would crack up completely if he faced John for too long. Despite the later differences which were eventually being patched up these two guys were as we know simply very, very close to one another. They had shared so much and together they were a brilliant writing duo. This did not mean that couldn't and didn't write some great numbers on their own, but together the combination of writing and musical styles made for an irresistible combination. Great memories.

The most subversive opening song in history. John Lennon was such a genius it makes my head spin on a daily basis. To this day, people still don't get it: They announce the hottest band in the world EVER up to that point--no other band ever had anything approaching the levels of hysteria they did...Paganini, Mozart, Sinatra, Elvis, Martin & Lewis were the opening acts--and Lennon opens up with "I'm A Loser! And I'm not what I appear to be!" and they all CHEER like he's giving out free candy. Years later he would follow with "HELP!!! I need somebody!!!" and "Nowhere Man" and they just threw jelly beans and screamed whenever he shook his long hair and smiled, meanwhile he knew he had a kid crying to see his daddy back at home that he was never gonna see and a Dad he never knew looking to sponge off him, holes in his heart, and a night that was going to fit into a matchbox because he was Beatle John. Anybody that can't put his music into context is missing the point of this gigantic intellectual, creative man. I owe a large part of my life to this guy. When I was in fourth grade, my teacher was crying about the assassination of John Lennon and I remember thinking "Cool, he must be a great guy! Don't all the big bulletin board guys get shot?" Lincoln, Kennedy, MLK, Sadat, Reagan and now this guy that my parents play on the radio with Cousin Brucie in our Buick every night? Many years later, I was on an elevator in Milan and Yoko Ono walked on. A few hours earlier I had shot a picture of a kid tagging a street stone with the words "John Lennon is Live" and I was really happy about my good fortune as I'm not a photojournalist. It was a neat moment. But now I knew why...Yoko was in town. So I looked at her and I will never forget the incredible conversation we both had that day. Me: "Hi." Yoko: "Hi." Sometimes I try not to overthink it, either.

Is there the opinion thyat YOKO was type of Narcissit?. So I picture her driving his desire to look like ozzie Osbourne today aka : I am a wild looking , not attractive woman, and my John will be a step below me!!Oh John , please do not wash those wonderful healing oils from your hair!! Part of it was caused by the drugs he was doing.. Which back then they were some serious drugs.. Not like what it is today.. Where do you think the expression " take a trip and never leave the farm" came from.. Another expression " To many trips without the helmet" came from.. The way Paul looks at John, it’s like he’s constantly amazed that he gets to work and be friends with someone as incredible as John. The other three all looked up to John and fo varying degrees, I don’t think they ever truly stopped. Paul had/has an ego, but he also recognized that as great as he is, John was just as brilliant.

How many bands do you see today, playing live, with the kind of rapport and sense of fun that these boys exhibited? Paul and John's side-ways glances at each other, obvious private jokes, about to break into laughter - and all the while, displaying such incredible musicianship! God what we had and what we've lost.... Ps Paul was hawwwwt here ;)

Have watched a lot of Beatle music vid/concert footage, and I have come to this conclusion: Paul McCartney is a John Lennon fan, he's always kinda looking at John with this admiring look, and John looks back and laughs, or smirks, knowing that they all are just nailing it, every single time. George adds so much and is very confident in his singing and playing, just exudes it. Ringo is just in his own little world, but never misses a beat. Its hard to find footage where the band makes a mistake singing or playing...incredible.

Paul deferred to John (to the top, boys!) whom he saw as more raw and worldly. As Paul grew older, and John went through his Ono/messiah period, their relationship changed. But, they always loved each other.

Mark David Chapman- do you get to listen to these gems in prison, do you get to see videos of John and his sons Sean and Julian as toddlers and growing up? Get to hear songs like beautiful boy? Or #9 dream or mind games? Or everything Beatles? Songs that John would have performed live as part of his reinventing himself and having well deserved success like his partner Sir Paul? Many of us feel he'd be having the time of his life producing and performing new music, maybe even jamming with his sons, maybe the other Beatles. All we could do since 12/8/80 is imagine what if- Because you snuffed out this gifted genius- you denied everyone - especially John, the rest of his career- and life! Why you even consider parole boggles the mind. It scares Yoko and Sean. They have to experience and relive the horror. They won't forget- nor shall we. You are better off staying put - for your sake- and ours!

John suffered the death of his mother when he was a child and desertion by his father one can only assume that his mother's love and the love of his auntie Mimi gave him the strength to survive many would have gone under in those circumstances "I'm a loser and I've lost someone who's near to me I'm a loser and I'm not what I appear to be although I laugh and I act like a clown beneath this mask I'm wearing a frown........ my tears are falling like rain from the sky is it for her or myself that I cry"

Paul McCartney plays different lines over the second half of each chorus (over the lyric "I'm a loser... and I'm not what I appear to be ") which is wonderful. The studio recording has less improvisation. 56 years later and I'm still studying his bass technique and line choices. I really can't figure how he does it, but I think he uses his left pinkie for reaches to a lower string and uses open strings significantly. That works because of the warm tone of the Hofner bass and because his flatwound strings don't make the "stringy" sounding contrast to fretted notesxthe way round wound strings do. Genius in simplicity, his playing.

Paul runs the coolest bass lines, George sounds like Chet Atkins, John owns his vocal skills with ease and Ringo...well he's simply on point at every turn. Just watch Paul and John harmonize, if ever two voices were meant to mingle, these are them.
