Recorded in July 17 1964 at BBC Paris Studio London. Aired August 3 1964 as "From Us To you".

George had such a beautiful accent. Loved his singing voice! Paul and John rather held him back whilst he was a Beatle, but he came out with "All Things Must Pass" after their split. Wonder what they thought then. Rest in peace, Mr. Harrison. You left us too soon, but you left us with an amazing catalogue of your music. Thank you.

It was sometime in the fall of 1964, I was three years old. I wandered down stairs and spied my mother playing with my younger sister who was one year old. I heard a sound coming from my oldest sisters bedroom. It was this song. Music was always playing in our house but that was the first time I heard music and was able to recognize is as music. Hearing I'm Happy Just To Dance With You is my earliest surviving childhood memory.

It's all John and in many of the early Lennon-McCartney era collaborations, John's guitar work carried the song. Don't know about Lennon writing Happy Just to Dance for Harrison.....first time I heard that tale. But, clearly a John song based on his guitar which was the foundation for the melody/vocal.

A Hard Day's Night is a 1964 musical comedy film starring the English rock band the Beatles-John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr-during the height of Beatlemania. It was originally released in the United States on August 11, 1964 by United Artists. The film was a financial and critical success and was nominated for two Academy Awards including Best Original Screenplay. Forty years after its release, Time magazine rated it as one of the 100 all-time great films.

Walter Shenson, the executive producer, wanted the film released in July because he thought no one would remember the Beatles by August (his words). It was also filmed in black and white, not to be artsy, but to save money. 60 years later we're still talking about these iconic lads.

@@mtnman6557 Paul McCartney is alive and well! The Proof: When he went to Hamburg, Germany in the '50's, he had to get finger printed. He was arrested for possession of pot in 1972 in Sweden. He was finger printed. His fingerprints were a match. He was also arrested in Japan for possession of 200 grams of weed. Finger printed again. A perfect match. Again. Paul WAS involved in a moped accident in which he cut his lip and chipped a tooth in December of 1965, but rest assured Paul McCartney lives. End of story.
