Everybody absolutely killed it on this song, but I'm fully convinced that this song wouldn't be half as good without Billy and his Organ.
@Arbes_ Жыл бұрын
meeh!!! You exaggerate so much when you say "it wouldn't be half as good". Without a doubt, Billy's contribution is magnificent, but even so, the song shines on its own merits. If Billy hadn't played it, I'm sure Paul (or Martin) would have played the organ just as excellent instead.

Billy's organ is incredible and couldn't imagine the song without it. But I think the same about every instrument on the song so the wouldn't be half as good thing, yeah for me that's a huge over reaction
@danieljosephbestguy599019 күн бұрын
I think it would have still been a great song without the organ. Granted there are already a lot of guitar parts! Some of the most overdubbed and complex guitar arrangements on any Beatles song and that's why I love it! But I doubt Paul or George Martin who were already very good keyboard players in their own right, especially George Martin who was already skilled on the piano when the band first came to him and only knew guitar and drums, were able to reach the eloquence and talent of Billy Preston who was their saving grace in 1969!

Guys, there are two very different things here. Billy playing quite a usual organ part and JOHN inventing a sound on a Moog synth, which is used since then by many psych rock, goa trance etc bands. It is not the white noise, it is filter usage which makes it special. The repetitive guitar theme and this synth sound effect is the genius thing in this song.
