I've created a new stereo mix with more balanced instruments taken from Jackie Lomax's version with George Harrison's vocals taken from the Esher Demo published on the deluxe edition of the White Album in 2018.
Personnel for this song include George Harrison on acoustic and electric guitar (and vocals), Paul McCartney on bass, Ringo Starr on drums, Nicky Hopkins on piano and Eric Clapton on lead guitar.

This is LIGHT YEARS beyond all other attempts at mixing the demo with the Lomax version. I can easily hear this being on the White Album. The sound of the vocal is exponentially better and the balance of the instrumentation is also so clear and well-positioned now. You are a master!

The rumor I heard around this song is that George actually wanted John to sing it, because he felt John's voice was better suited, but John wasn't interested. Still, this would have been great as part of the White Album, or even All Things Must Pass.

From a brief read up on this track (thanks Wikipedia) there was a Beatles demo (without Eric but with George singing) but it was given away as a single to Jackie Lomax when it was re recorded with Eric, George, Ringo and Nicky Hopkins. So, my guess is that this is either the Jackie Lomax track or a combination of the Lomax single and the Beatles demo (to bring Harrison’s vocals). I’ve since read the description of this video…
