The Beatles played a 30-minute set at Memorial Auditorium in 1964. Before the show, they visited with WFAA.
The Beatles are back in the public eye, in near-crystal clear color, too, with the release the "Get Back" documentary, streaming on Disney Plus.
The film takes a fly-on-the-wall look at the band as they pieced together what would become their final studio album, "Let It Be."
Not even 30 at the time, the Beatles had the look of rock-and-roll veterans in the footage, meticulously writing and rehearsing a new album in a near-empty studio. Their lowkey depiction in the film might make it easy to forget they were the same wide-eyed band that caused Beatlemania just five years earlier, as they toured the United States for the first time.
One of their stops that year? Dallas, where they played a tight 30-minute set at the Memorial Auditorium downtown.

The Beatles brought joy to the people of Dallas, where a few months before the life of JFK had been tragically ended. The Beatles were so ahead of their time in both looks and music. The biggest thing ever in the entertainment industry? Yes...

The fans kept screaming, just only wanting their autographs, hugs and kisses from them. Parents and nurses kept pushing their crippled kids/patients to their dressing room to have the boys kiss them to make them be "cured" from being blind and/or have them walk again. *(They thought the boys had supernatural healing powers)* But the answer was actually the incidents at the Philippines and Japan. As well as the misunderstanding of John saying that they were "Bigger than sliced bread".

@@enayy619 The entirety sources of parents/nurses wanting the boys to kiss their kids/patients to "cure" them came from a video from the Beatles Bible KZfaq channel about how they felt about cripples *(Interview by John)* and a paragraph from Wikipedia explaining Beatlemania. And about the first one of how the fans just kept screaming, only wanting autographs, hugs and kisses from the boys was from the book _Who Were The Beatles?_ *(Someone actually recorded themselves reading it on here in many parts so you have to watch it but it's on here)* .
