I love love love love them more. Early stuff, 70s music, except disco, no cut on them, just don't like the genre, then they came back strong in the 80s even the 90s. One of my fave songs is One, a relatively recent song in their catalog. Massachusetts is my fave 60s tune, How Can You Mend A Broken heart, the apex song for me in the 70s.

On August 1970, nearly 16 months after Robin quit the group they wrote "Lonely Days" and "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" at their first reunion session, It appeared on their album 2 Years On, and was released as a single, becoming their first Top Five hit in the US, peaking at number three in the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching number one in the Cashbox and Record World charts. There is a beautiful live video from 1970 when they were soo young and so emotional!

Robin still sang quite a few leads and co-leads with Barry up until the falsetto stuff in '74/'75. Didn't like most of that era of disco and falsetto. Again after the disco era from the 80's onward Robin did many leads and did several solo LPs which were quite popular, especially in Europe, assisted by his brother Maurice.

They wrote it when they got back together after the breakup in the late 60s. They wrote How can you mend a broken heart and Lonely days just after they got back together. Don't know when this concert was, but I'm guessing by looking at the Bee Gees it was in the 90s. Great song though. They are my favorite group.

When the Bee Gees released the LP Bee Gees 1st in the mid 60s I can remember a conspiracy theory that the Bee Gees were actually the Beatles and that it was a secret Beatles album recorded secretly at night. I was a big fan of the Bee Gees in the 60s and early 70s before their career took off again in the disco era.

LOVE YOUR REACTION! This was their big hit right after the brothers "kissed and made up" in 1970, and it refers to the lonely days-- about 18 months' worth, which they wouldn't have survived had it not been for their women!! 🤪🤣😅. The other big hit relating to the same break-up/make-up of the brothers was "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?"

Great reaction, Harri. Lonely Days was one of the first songs written by the Bee Bees after reuniting from their brief breakup in 1970. It was a single from their Two Years On album, and went to #3 on the Billboard singles chart. It's one of my very favorite early Bee Gees songs.

From their 1970 album, "2 Years On", they channeled their break up and reunion into this beautiful song, along with " How Can You Mend a Lonely Heart" in Barry's basement in London one afternoon. The enticing pounding chorus with Maurice on the piano and bass, contrasting with the melodic slow verses with heavenly harmonies, made it to Number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100's, Number 33 in the UK and Number 1 in Canada. Maurice said the best compliment he received was when a Manager in a restaurant told him it was his favourite Beatle song.😊 So glad they reunited.❤ Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Brandon.👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

This song was recorded in August of 1970 and released in November of 1970. "Lonely Days" went to #3 on the U.S. Billboard singles chart which was their highest charting single in the U.S. up to that time. It went to #1 in the other two U.S. singles charts (Cash Box and Record World). It was also #1 in Canada. Surprisingly, it peaked at just #33 in the U.K. I think it's my favorite Bee Gees song. I prefer the record over this live version. Check it out: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jcdikqZ9kpi-eWg.html
