Dear Lord, that’s not a rain that’s a deluge ! I’m so sorry, it’s heartbreaking.

Wow. All that water is crazy. Have you two thought about a residential engineer looking at the entire yard layout? The water has to be dealt with from the back of the property. Channeling it away from the horse barn should help keep it away from the well house. Then the cement spillway will help so much. So glad you have the JL for all the horses and longhorns.

I just giggled @ myself. I thought the deer looked like kangaroos with only their heads showing. All laughter is so appreciated today.

From a beautiful peaceful morning to the wrath of more pounding rain. It adds insult to injury doesn’t it? Y’all are so strong to withstand everything that’s been thrown at you. My heart hurts for you.

Seeing all the rain causing the erosion and the spillway collapse - it truly hurts my soul for you all. I know you have or will have the resources to address these problems, but It breaks my heart. Sweet Bev in the trailer is so cute.

Lester, I have never seen anyone try harder than you and Jami working to save the pond and your awesome bridge built with your own hands. It hurts me to my core to watch all of the erosion around them. Praying for the Lord to spare them.❤❤

It’s amazing to me that the small structure of spillway remaining, is still holding strong against what has got to be tremendous pressure against it from the water on the other side. Fingers crossed it continues to show its power until the weather clears and all dries enough to have people in to do the extensive repairs needed. The deers are beautiful creatures indeed and makes for a delightful sight to greet you with in the morning, but I hope they always stay very weary of you, because I think there are many more folks who don’t carry the heart that is inside your chest and would look at those deer, as nothing more than delicious meals - best they keep their distance and are always alertly aware of humans. Watching the last two years of drought and now so much water. Wtaf is happening. No where seems safe. I heard that we’ve had over 640 tornado’s this year. It seriously feels like the energy is like pressure cooker. Lots of personal thoughts on this but I’m here to say… Love wins, kindness matters. We all find that here! Thankfully you received your propane refill today. They are not sure when the power will be restored to places. There were towers brought down and those take time to get back up. I went through the 1998 ice storm in Quebec, Canada. We were in the process of looking for a home, staying with my ex’s parent and listening to power. The towers that were destroyed then were miles long. That was 26 years ago in January it took over a month for some but they were also covered in more than a foot thick of ice. Texas will get lots of power/energy companies that deal with these instances from other states. It’s the people living in apartments need to buy solar generators that they can put on their balconies. Thats the only way they can go through this. It will get better. I don’t know when but it will.

From the live earlier, Lester, you and Jami mentioned how the last owner of LHL had the bags of cement displacing water flow throughout the property. And you mentioned how you can't do that being that the fields are for animals. And too, it would be twice as much work to cut if you had to. But it's an idea to think about improving on maybe. I saw a video the other day, and they called it water-scaping. Which was a really pretty river rock lined channel that went from their downspout to the road and storm drain. If a drone was able to see the fields from the sky to see how the water is flowing now. Like the next rain if you get one. Then you could see where the problem areas are at the early stages and not just mitigate at the pond and under the driveway. ❤

So so sorry mother nature is doing this. Thank goodness you fixed the drive the way you did Lester. Don't think it would of held up. Prayers going up.

Every time I see our neighborhood deer walking in someone's yard ad I stroll by, I say "Hi girls!" and tell them something about my day or comment on the weather. They get used to people. :)

We are out of power and they say it could be three to four weeks before up and running. I am thankful for our generator, but our big one went bye bye at 4:30am today. Got what we could find at Lowe’s. Can’t wash clothes are run dishwasher, but blessed to have two window units to help keep us cool. Ninety and humid today.❤️❤️🐾🐾🐾🐴🐴

My heart is breaking for you guys. Its bad enough that Plum Grove got flooded just a few weeks ago, but with all the water effecting LHL, it's just so unfair. Oh I know this must make you and Jami sick to see all this erosion the rain has caused. This looks so scary to me. Is it ever going to end? I know it's suppose to dry up in a couple of days. The deer on our property have gotten, so accustom to us. We can get within 30 yards of them. Even the dogs, who no longer bark at them. It's nice, we always look forward in spring when they bring their new babies. Sort of like an introduction and letting the babies know they're safe on our property. Just love sitting on my back deck with the wife and Abby (the dog) and enjoy watching nature.

Oh How lovely to wake up to that sight of deer in your field Lester. I used to see that but in the forrest background at my Aunty's in Germany when we used to go on holidays. They used to come in thr garden and pinch the strawberries. Not another downpour Lester . Your pool well and truly over pouring down the spill way.😢😢

Thank goodness you build that bridge last year or that entire lane would be blown out already. What a mess for you guys. I’m so sorry this is happening.

Lester stop at a marina and ask them who puts in sea walls. They can put a seawall in at the end of your pond. That will stop your leak and then come over the top of the spillway and finish it up with cement. That would be your best bet to make sure you're getting somebody that knows what they're talking about. Thank you! Love you! From Indiana

We have deer all over my property. They are so laid back now that I went to my jeep got in they were about 200 yds from me. Drove down my driveway where she was eating about 10 feet. Lifted her head looked and kept on eating. ❤❤
