Raw vegans wont live passed 100. Only a balanced meal would do that. At first you will feel great cause your pretty much detoxing your body but once the years pass by youll have many health issues..Anemia low iron, B12 deficiency that can cause nerve damage to brain and legs and problem wih teeth enamel and digesive issues.If u want to really live long and healthy follow what centenarians eat and non of them are raw vegan.

Disclaimer if you go vegan make sure you get a b12 injection and monitor your levels and iron as well if you dont your gonna have nerve and heart damage. Vitamin D as well get it through sun or supplements.

Not a diet for me. It’s a lifestyle
@RawFoodRomance
@RawFoodRomance 5 ай бұрын
Lifestyle is everything else one does though. Diet is just diet. Diet actually has two main definitions - diet as in restrictive food intake to lose weight (which is diet culture - which people have replaced with “lifestyle” to make it sound nice and NOT what I’m talking about here. This isn’t a quick fix weight loss diet”) and diet as in “the collection of food that one consumes” like when referring to the diet of humans, pandas or giraffes etc. it’s NOT the same as diet-ING which is not what I’m referring to in this video. When I use the word diet, I use it to describe the food one consumes, not at all in an “I’m going on a diet” way. Diet in the sense I’m using is descriptive, not a verb. People can also eat raw food as their diet, but not follow lifestyle changes like sleep, exercise, nature, etc so I don’t use the term lifestyle when discussing just the food part. Hope that clarifies. I understand your point though, I just don’t use the word lifestyle when discussing the diet part 🥰

You’ve also reminded us of why we’ve chosen this lifestyle and why we should keep choosing it. You made it look like so much fun, vibrancy, colours and health! Thank you so much. I’ll watch again. Many blessings to you and Nate and thank you for all you both do in this space. I hope to take the Dina’s course one day….

I quit cold turkey smoking 2 years ago after 25 years of smoking. Body and mind and cleaning from the inside is a passion for me but also so much information and books that i dont know where to start....meditarian dieet ? Fruitarian? Keto? Raw vegan? I was vegan and vegetarian in the past, but unfortunately, I still ate a lot of processed foods. I'm now eating more raw foods than I ever have in my life, and while not totally raw or vegan, I am experiencing very noticeable changes. At 48, I have been struggling with losing weight, but now it is happening! And even though I don't call myself a vegetarian or vegan because I don't like labels, I have no desire for meat at this time, and am only adding protein and collagen powders into my smoothies and chia seed pudding. I never thought I would head back in the vegan direction, and much less raw foods, but here I am and absolutely LOVING it!! There is so much variety and so many options that I get excited about what I can come up with for the next meal! Thank you for the wonderful presentation. It was thorough and clear and made so much sense. I'm studying to be a personal trainer, and I will save this video to share with my future clients and anyone I come across who wants to get healthy.

Great video! Very well done and beautiful presentation. What do you think about the theory about plant food containing oxolates and harming the body? Some are advising to stay away from kale, spinach etc...
@RawFoodRomance
@RawFoodRomance 3 ай бұрын
Heya!! I actually have no worry over oxalates. Unless you have kidney disease or something kidney serious, maybe stay away but for the average person it’s not what fear tactics scare you over. Oxalis acid is already present in our bodies and most people with kidney stones aren’t getting them from the tiny amount of kale they ever do eat! I just did a live with Matt Bennett and asked him the oxalate question which you might appreciate his answer-you can find that live here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eZ5znahqnK_FpGQ.htmlsi=fwrS1UKUTAZTtFUP

If anything, it’s a great loving support for your body and a healthier life, regardless of if it heals everything or not. If your pain is structural, diet isn’t going to necessarily help with that but it’s definitely helpful in general to lower inflammation and support in other ways 🥰🥰

Thank you so much for this video... I am doing a juice fast and preparing myself to become raw vegan. My body was often repulsed by the cooked food especially fried during the video. I am / was certainly attached to those. I was telling myself : "that's so unatural, unlogical." Thank you ! I will watch it multiple times to reprogram my brain :)

Great video, although to clarify on a few points…we don’t want to eat insoluble fiber, we only need soluble fiber. Also, whatever they may contain, we are not meant to eat green bananas, we’re meant to eat them when they ripen just as we’re supposed to eat every other fruit. Regarding the omega-3’s,are primates in nature eating heaping tablespoons of chia, flax or hemp seeds every day? Of course not, they do just fine by eating mostly raw fruits and some leafy greens. We can do the same if we choose to. And finally, if you go back a bit further our actual ancestors didn’t eat wild animals. For the vast majority of human history we have been raw vegan. Eating meat, then grains, and now highly processed foods have all happened very recently and within a tiny space of the overall human timeline of existence.

Completely fine to disagree but I still hold to what I said. Making statements like “we don’t want to eat insoluble fiber” is not a helpful statement because all whole plant foods have it in varying amounts so that statement is inferring that we shouldn’t be eating plant food in their whole state…. Which I disagree with. We should be eating food in their whole state. That’s basic common sense. Whole food. Not processed or fractionated. I’m sure you can agree with that? Insoluble Fiber is where the incredible health promoting, anti inflammatory and anti cancer polyphenols are and are only released during bacteria fermentation in our gut. I personally feel insoluble fiber is incredibly important and shouldn’t be cast aside so easily. It’s also bulk for stools, it attracts water to the stools making them easier to pass, and it actually helps with insulin sensitivity. I think it’s much more important than many think it is and as we learn more with science, we are seeing other things appear that we did not know. Nature put insoluble fiber in our food for a good reason. I trust it knows best. And for green bananas - the resistant starch in them indeed has been shown very beneficial. If you don’t wanna eat them green that’s fine, your choice, I eat them green here and there but mostly ripe because I want the benefit of the resistant starch since I don’t eat a lot of that on a raw diet. Since embracing insoluble fiber and including more variety of fiber rich sources, I have further improved my digestion. I can eat all kinds of roughage and green bananas and not have any issues because I worked hard and consistently to build my gut and my gut tests show that at 94% overall score. I personally believe that if people have issues digesting certain things, it does NOT always = that we shouldn’t be eating them, I usually means that specific persons gut is weak to those things but it can be built up and get stronger if not restricted. And finally - I do not make my health choices based on what our ancestors did for survival purposes. I choose what I eat TODAY - in TODAYS modern world with the new discoveries and science we have TODAY. I think I’ll stick with that thanks! I may hold different opinions but they are mine.

By the way…. This presentation was created as a final project for my schooling from Drs Rick & Karin Dina at www.rawfoodeducation.com and I passed with flying colors so I’m really not worried about others opinions on what I said here. So if you have issues with what I said here, maybe bring it up with them - two science based raw vegan researchers who have been doing this and studying natural hygiene, raw food, vegan diets and working with patients since the early 90s.

Lissa how long did it take to rid you of candida, and did you stay away from sweet fruits to tackle it?
@RawFoodRomance
@RawFoodRomance 3 ай бұрын
No I ate fruit, mushrooms, nutritional yeast… I ate all the stuff they “say” not to eat. I don’t know how long it was really cuz I was just focused day to day but it was definitely less than a year. I wasn’t doing it specifically to heal candida. My goal was to be healthy overall. Here’s a video explaining all that: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/msBnaLF_xLuvcZ8.htmlsi=u0RwVtNqL_VmNQVq

Starting with increasing you fiber variety and veggies/greens/sprouts will help grow a stronger microbiome over time. Your microbiome is what will fight off the yeast so focus on building that - I had candida issues for 15 years and tried all kinds of herbs and diets and probiotics but it wasn’t until I was consistent with fiber variety, stopped eating all animal products and processed foods, that my gut got stronger and fought off the yeast for me.

This video is really well done and very helpful. Thank you for your work in making this! Question... Do you think it's possible for the body to get used to doing cooked (vegan) only one meal per week (only Sunday evening)? I want to be as raw as I can while still sharing some meals on occasion with my wife especially but also some other family members too.
@RawFoodRomance

So glad you enjoyed!! As for the cooked thing, honestly…. It depends on what it is and how your gut is. Your gut changes when you eat raw foods and any foods you don’t normally eat should be eaten in small amounts if you do. The best would be steamed veggies if you’re gonna eat something cooked and pair it with a raw salad to aid a little in digestion. Only you will know the answer to this because your body will tell you if it’s fine or not. Try it and see how you feel and then go from there! When I’m with others who eat cooked stuff I just eat my salad with them because it’s more so the act of chewing together that we want, not that we have to eat the same thing 🥰
