HBAO looks great at a few fps performance impact. It just shades parts of objects where is thinks light is harder to reach such as corners and holes. Off is less realistic but can also help the game look more vibrant and well lit

I want to start off by saying the whole video editing and showing off each settings is very well done and I applaud your effort. That being said, I don't know how one creates a graphics settings guide without understanding the graphics settings to begin with. Specifically HBAO (ambient occlusion) and anisotropic filtering. The first (AO) attempts to adds realism to a picture by simulating shaded areas in objects' corners and the like. The second (AF) fixes the blurriness that kicks in most textures at a certain distance (depending on the filtering being x2/x4/x8/x16), this is very noticeable and is not situational at all, it is present always.

Um yeah, that and z-blur is actually doing what EUL is describing Chromic Aberation to do. And that makes me question the other content. Did not know about SSR improved tho. And I really appreciate EULs efforts with the EFT Lore.

If that gameplay was recorded with these setting then ima give them a shot... it looks great. Running a 2080ti with high textures and low shadows. Reckon ive taken a 10-15% hit to fps since patch. Hopefully this brings it back. Thanks for the video bro. 🤙

If you want a post-fx profile that fixes the washed out colors without turning it into an over saturated neon mess try this: brightness: 10 saturation: 10 clarity: 10 colorfulness: 62 luma sharpen: 4 adaptive sharpen: 0 color grading: bread intensity: 30

I tested the "Only use physical cores" in offline factory raid without bots, in the same spot, looking the same way. With it ON: 198 fps With it OFF: 215 fps CPU: R5 3600

I'm pretty sure AMD users should be turning that option off as it relies heavily on virtual cores, unlike Intel.

I stand by the assumption Steam audio is still broken, probably will get fixed later in Unity 2019 updates. I have tried in 12.12 for a couple days and didn’t like how audio is mapped at all. I have also heard that it is fixed but nothing official recently. I say no to having it on for now.

Anisotropic filtering is not just a "situational graphics setting" and has a very useful purpose. It essentially performs extra rendering calculations to ensure that textures viewed from sharp angles display properly and are not blurred or smeared. This can be most easily seen affecting road/ground and wall textures at just a few meters ahead of the camera position. I personally run this setting turned on since it does not hit your FPS severely and can create a much more detailed image. Also, your comment on z-blur. If you stood still you'll clearly see it blurring the gun as it gets closer to the camera ...

@@gial27 depends on xbx game bar on off, post fx on or off.. but I'm around with the same range you just said. Some maps I'll peak 110. But nothing too wild over that. Games honestly never ran smoother this wipe for me. It's wild.

People making these guides don't seem to understand that they impact different systems very differently...for example, shadows puts more load onto the GPU, so if you have a stronger GPU than CPU you might get MORE FPS. You can't just say "use this, use that", it entirely depends on whether or not they have AMD or Intel, Nvidia or AMD, how much RAM, how fast is their RAM, is either their GPU or CPU a bottleneck? Almost all these videos are just a copy + past of eachother.

If people are interested I would make a second video on it. Basically it has to do with Tarkov using only physical processing cores and when it thinks logical cores can be added it slows the game down significantly. A post on Reddit can be found about CPU Priority and Affinity. Because you have to do things in Windows or possibly download additional programs I didn’t want to cover it in this video.

I had a 3600 b4 and switched to 5600x, got great boost. Also went from 16gb to 32gb which took away stutters

Im not sure if he addressed but he may have disabled vsync in out of app graphic settings which allows uncapping of menu and in-game fps

There's literally no reason other than if the game doesn't let u cap ur fps vsync will match the fps of the game to the refresh rate of ur monitor, it's better to just cap the fps yourself since vsync is doing it for you constantly making an effort to keep the fps the same as ur monitor it'll have performance impact on older systems and will give u input lag.

I have Vsync enabled by default for all games because it's required to properly use Gsync. FPS is capped just under my refresh rate. If you have Gsync and you don't have Vsync enabled then you're not using Gsync properly.

I get a consistent 100 to 110 fps, however, every 20 seconds or so, i get a micro stutter. Usually when I make a turn. It's not game breaking but annoying as shit.

but with those settings how do you see in a dark area like interchange? i cant ever see anything in there and NVGs are hard to come buy and are expensive.

Skier LL2 sells NVGs for about 32k roubles, and the two mounts needed to attach it to a standard Ratnik are available from dealers for less than $100 USD if I recall correctly.

Also... does anyway else not get full gpy utilization? Its never running 100% which annoys the fuck out of me. Only in tarkov. And no its not a CPU bottleneck as thats bounces around anywhere between 30-60%.

without anisotropic the ground and most walls looks like ass if you look at it from the side, z-blur makes the stock of your gun all washed out even when you are standing still

To whom it may concern: I have an amd 3700x cpu 32gb of ram running at 3600mhz (cl-16) Gigabyte Radeon rx 5700 xt (this is the only component in my rig that is overclocked but it’s shipped that way) And my game is saved is saved on an m.2 nvme ssd All that to say, these graphic settings with my particular setup is phenomenal, I’m getting a consistent 90-120 fps while in games. They definitely have improved optimizations in 12.12, far more than any other patch. Optimistic for the future and upgrades that Unity 2019 will bring.

@@EULGamingYT They did not improve the optimization in 12.12, just look at reddit. They did improve optimization with new Unity and its first implementation, but 12.12 messed it up again. I am optimistic as well, but 12.12 f* up the performance for most users.
