So sorry to hear about your dad passing. I have an identical twin, and we are 67 years old. We have insights into you guys that maybe not everyone has. I have been doing keto for almost three years for health, no so much for weight. Now we both are on keto. I stray from total keto every once in a while, and I have found that even at my age, when I go on "hard-core clean keto," I can drop a few pounds quickly. But I went on keto so I would feel good with the belief that there's no food in the world that tastes as good as feeling good. So, it's not all about weight but mostly about health for me. I appreciate you two having the verve to keep on your mission. I also have the best ever recipe for pancakes that taste like buckwheat pancakes! Anyway, thanks for your committment and honesty, and keep on. You both rock!

I am so excited to try the tiramisu recipe. Although I had to laugh at one point in your video. You mentioned rum and then you said "whiskey, whiskey" and I realized you were talking about whisking the ingredients!

My carrot cake recipe from many years ago has some oil in it to keep it moist. Maybe that would help with the dryness in your mug cake.

Ever try making these in an air fryer? Seems like it would give a better (or at least different) texture than a microwave and be just as convenient.

Interesting... my thoughts were on a pie maker. This week I tried making an English muffin in one and it came out perfectly... so that's another option. But I'm also Aussie and idk if pie makers are a thing in America, since a meat pie isn't... do you have cake-pop and cupcake makers? I've thought CPMs would be good for 'doughnut holes'. CCMs might be good for 90 sec cakes too... but I don't have one

Y'know, this has me interested in trying mug cakes, but only because I now have a toaster oven. Microwave cooking for me has always been hit-or-miss. What makes your channel fun is you keep your mishaps in the final edit.

Replay crew here. Sharing a dessert hack here - not even as hard as mug cake. Can't recall where I found it. Just blended softened cream cheese, lemon juice & swerve w immersion blender. Keep it in fridge for 2 TBS treat w Reddi whip.

I mix up LMNT every night…a big Ball Jar, carbonated water from my soda stream machine, an inch cube of lemon juice and a packet of LMNT. I rotate … the unflavored, grapefruit salt and citric salt. I drink it thru the night and then the next morning…. Love it. Next time I order, I am going to try the orange salt. I am sad for your loss…both of my parents are gone, as is my husband. Being a caregiver is so stressful, but you will always be glad you were there for your dad. And, know that your dad was glad you were there for him…..

My favorite dessert is carrot cake, and I found a wonderful keto version, however, it is not a mug cake. I use the recipe to make cupcakes, as a matter of fact I just made a batch because we are having company tonight. The base recipe can be found on Gunjan Vaidya's youtube channel, but I do not use her cream cheese frosting recipe. I keep mine simple: 1.5 blocks of very soft cream cheese, 3-4T of softened butter, 1 T vanilla, and I use a very small amount of Swerve Confectioners (maybe 2 -3T but obviously that can be adjusted to taste).

thanks for showing a fail. I burned my first and only mug cake and have been uninterested in trying again. I think Ill try again now and thanks for the idea to bake in the oven. I have a small convection oven that would fit the bill.

😂 I won’t have a problem with the carrot cake as my microwave is only 800 watts max. Of course that makes making some other recipes more difficult since many mug cakes are timed for higher wattage. Am definitely going to try the tiramisu. Hope it works out in my lame duck 🦆 microwave.

Yeah, I figured the carrot cake would be dry. The cooking time was a little much but I think reciper was trying to make sure the carrots got cooked some. I think it would be fine for some crunchy instead of crunchy from being burnt 😂. Both look delicious, thanks for sharing. What would top them off would be a LMNT hot chocolate 😋
