It's not often I say nice things, let alone recommend a takedown model, but I must say, Nike have done a good job with this one. In today's video we take a closer look at the $80 Nike Phantom Vision 2 Academy, the 2nd tier takedown model in the line up that definitely isn't better than the Elite, but I would argue is better than the $150 Pro! Just bought a pair today and I couldn’t be happier a good boot at a good price. I’ll let y’all know in a few weeks how well they hold up. UPDATE: Had the Boots for a little over 3 weeks and no issues at all good quality product what you expect from Nike. Very minor scuffs on the boots but they still look brand new after cleaning and the spikes have very little wear.

Super boots! just bought them and they r absolutely amazing! (I bought the black ones with a touch of silver) Super comfortable although I do recommend getting half a size up cos they can be quite tight. Otherwise, great boots, extreme value for money and stunning looks! thanks for the review!

I'd say that Nike's conical studs on every academy models are super good, grippy and aggressive. I even prefer to use my vapor 12 academy rather than my superfly elite 6 in match day. The chevron studs may be good, but I have always slipped when planting my feet hard. Conical studs are just work for me on firm grass field

I just got these boots and used them for the first time i was impressed its weird getting use to no laces on top but i think its better that way so the laces dont hang in the way and trip but i would suggest getting these boots

Damn my Gen 1 Tier 2 Hypervenoms got sole separation within like 2 years :( but afterwards I been using the Gen 3 Tier 3s for 2+ years now and it's holding up so much better

Hello Jeffrey, I know that this question doesnt rlly make sense, but out of the Nike Premier 2 and the Nike Phantom 2 Academy, which ones would be better. Ive worn the Tiempo 6s before and I absolutely loved them, but idk if I should stick to synthetic cleats or go back to leather.

As far as I'm aware, Asics boots aren't available outside of Asian markets. They haven't been readily available in North America for years now.

My guy look for Puma Future 2.1 lows, I have them and absolutely love them! Upper softens up a lot and texturing is very similar to the OG Hypervenom 1s. I've also worn the NB Tekela v1 which felt like the OG's after they were broken in, which is both a good and bad thing due to lack of responsiveness.

Hi bud. Quick Q; the sizing and fit between Academy vs. Elite for Phantom Vision2, are they the same? Meaning if I tried on the Academy in a size 10 Men’s US, it would be same fit and feel as in the Elite version correct? Thanks again for your input and this video was great 👍🏼

i got 44 they were too big got 42 they were too small my feet hurt so bad just from puting it on i tried a lot of methods to loosen it up but it didnt work now ill have to change them for some other pair

Phelon 3's are incredible, ive been using them for last 3 years now, and they still are the best football boots ive used. I don't think i will ever move on from them, they are literally perfect once broken in for me at least.

Do you think we will see a venom 2 this year? We are in preseason training but the season doesn't start here for a number of months. Debating getting some Venom Elites, or getting the vision 2 academy to use in pre-season, getting new boots for the start of the season and keeping the academy's for the occasional AG social game.

The Merc is better overall quality for sure, but also more expensive. They're fairly different in regards to fit and feel as well, so it really come down to what you're looking for. Both are solid.

Don't know if it's just me but I had to go up a size to fit these. From a 9.5 to 10.5 us and they still feel kinda tight.

yeah i did half a size up. i realized it was more of a wide foot problem then anything, that and i had to loosen the laces up under the sock.
