The Mother Road is 2448 miles and our plan was to do our "Shamrock Travel" meaning... we park our Toy Hauler RV in a location and ride our motorcycles on ALL of Route 66. We certainly did our best to do just that, even the old "unusable" highway portions. Too fun on two BMW GS motorcycles!
We did experience some truck damage due to the high winds and gusts of up to 75 MPH. IN 2022 the "supply chain" issues kept us in Albuquerque for 6 weeks, but we made the best of our time there! It was "The Best... and The WORST!" Despite the challenges we faced, you may enjoy taking at least a small portion of Route 66 to experience those old roads, towns, highways, cars, and signs.
