Hey everyone, and welcome back for another coffee time chat. Fill up your cup and join me. Don't worry, I'll do most of the talking...Feel free to chat back in the comments below.
Today's topic is comparing the different Fjallraven pants/trouser that I have tried. I went from a traditional pant just made out of G1000 all the way to what I think is the best pair you can buy for backpacking or general woodsman activities.
Sorry about the quality of the video. I didn't realize that the footage was coming out very bland until I had already finished and was working on it with my computer. I did want to learn and practice color grading so I guess that's the bright side.

I agree with you on the Kebs. I’ve 3 different pairs of fjallraven pants and they are my favourite due to comfort. Only downside is that the stretchy material takes much longer to dry than the G1000.

Yes dry time and also winter conditions are it's downsides. But they are excellent for 3 season and can be used in winter if the temps aren't too cold.

Yeah, definately check online. They are overpriced but if you find a good deal then they are worth it.

Vidda Pro Ventilated. I got them in the short inseam version and they fit me perfectly. No bunching up at the ankle. I'm 5'8" and the short is the optimal length.

I like the last pair a LOT from what I'm seeing. I generally prefer shorts 98% of the time and the zip off option is huge for me. I think it would double as a 2 for 1 item reducing weight. I could see myself using this as an option for early spring or late fall hiking, long woods hikes with minimal hills and for bushcraft. I usually wear "basketball shorts" when I hike the ADK's. I value the huge mobility of the b ball shorts as I already struggle with it.

I also made the recent discovery that the Keb Trousers are literally the best pants ever made and have started my hunt for a pair as well. I agree they’re a little pricey, but that’s ok because there’s nothing else like them!

You should try the Abisko Lite Trekking Pants... they are amazing for Summer

Yes, I have tried them. They are definitely great summer pants. They make a zip off version as well. You get one amazing summer pant but you sacrifice a bit of that durability because its made out of g1000 light instead of normal g1000 eco. Trade offs...

@@LedMV007 For summer, get the Abisko Lite or Midsummer; they are both super good for summer +.

These are good work pants for sure. The vidda pro's are excellent for that. I don't know if I would buy them for work because of the price tag, but if you can find them for a great price some place then its totally worth it.

How did you get them so cheap ? Here in germany we have to pay minimum 130 Euro.

It's actually just a Columbia synthetic shirt. But I wear alot of merino wool normally and prefer the sales I find on smartwool.

do you really use your Keb Trouser as shorts? I'm torn. I normally don't like zip offs.

Yes I do. I really like to use the shorts with the gaiter function still on to help keep my lower legs still covered a bit. But when it's really hot I will just go with the shorts while hiking.

Haha thanks, atleast someone appreciated it. I've sinse gotten better at taking footage and now I dont have to correct quite as much. I've never been into making videos before I randomly decided to make a KZfaq channel. Its been A STEEEP learning curve to say the least.

The brown ones are great in high heat. The light blue are too warm for me personally. The dark blue and black are a little better than jeans in heat. I hope that helps :)

G1000 is for butthole surfers! 5.11 or nothing! Go back to Europe with your hippy FEEY'ALLL! jk. Those silly zip off ones are kinda nice though. Like that gator option. Great review! What kinda coffee you drinking?

Haha if surfers are wearing these pants than that's just a testament to how versatile they are. That was just some cheap folgers. Cant wait to get my grinder and some fresh beans. When I do, I'm go going to celebrate by doing a cinematic video of me making it lol.
