last time i play in west point, i use the 3 house near lake at far west. it has access to water/woods and place to farming one of the house quite decently fenced and only need to add a bit more fence to make it safer. it's far from city so barely any zombie spawned, but that's also the weakness. since you need to visit town to get some tools/supply which also demand you to have car.

In my West Point playthrough I took over the entire street from the building right if base location 4 to knox bank, in the early game I just lured the zombies away from the street with a car. I took the clothing shop as my main base even though I walled the street off, I loved it but when i became self sufficent I microwaved a pot and burnt the base down and got myself killed because aparrently pots of water cant put fires out.

The 2nd floor above the food shop (your #2) is by far my favorite base location. Glad to see it made your list. One of my longest play thrus was based there. It is dangerous though and I never could make it safe no matter how many bodies I buried.

Great video I’m definitely going to use the grocery store as base I never realized there as an upstairs also really funny story I don’t what happened if it was some type of glitch with my mods or something but almost every building in westpoint except one was burned and the one that wasn’t was the hardware store also you earned a sub (even though you hit your goal for 2023 and made it seem weak with 4.2k subs in a few months)

Great ideas, think I will go ahead and secure those shops and apartments in downtown West Point. I find sheet rope/destroy stairs very immersion breaking so my character will have to kill/lure away the zombie horde to sleep soundly.

i got back into the game recently, been mostly playing multiplayer with some friends, but for when no one else is around i started a solo game and decided to set up at your #5 the big warehouse. i knew i wanted to build stairs to the roof but didn't have the carpentry 3 book yet so i decided to go into town with my 40 shotgun shells and hopefully raid the bookstore. well i underestimated how many zombos there would be, spent the entire day luring hundreds of them far enough away that i could just run in and out of the bookstore, but became exhausted and died to a mistimed shove against the like 5 stragglers remaining outside the shop. whoops

i got lucky once and have the location 2 already barricaded and filled with many essential stuff, made it my base

If i would recommend a base for a group of people like 5: LV North of Hospital with a building shaped like a U, it is perfect with East and West just garages and there is many rooms where you can make the kitchen, armory, medical bay, rooms for the squad, and you can place 2 generators on East and West so you get power on both sides but if everyone is getting off you fill the generator with fuel max that powers the kitchen, and it will keep the food fresh, plus you can have a garden in the center
