Hey not 100% sure but I think you would need the 60v version . unless you wanted to upgrade your controller as well .

160 need to use a 60v and don’t recommend changing the controller and adding a 72v cuz the motor in the 160 can’t Handel it and over heats

Honestly bro I think you should extend the seat bc the way how the battery is fitted now the seat looks really tiny compared to the actual bike itself but fr mad bike and you really put an impact on me with all these electric vehicles

Change of battery brand always effects performance regardless of it having the the same C rating MAH & VOLTAGE. I don’t have a Surron YET but your basically riding a big RC it’s all the same components and as you’ve experienced yourself depending on where you source your electronics makes a huge difference to performance because of the quality of materials used etc. awesome upgrade and price really doesn’t surprise me 🤷♂️ lipo battery’s are expensive and when you understand how explosive they can be it’s definitely not something you want to cheap out on!

I hear you, I ride a speedrid folding ebike 36v 500w it gets me to work & back but recently I've purchased 48v 1500w front &rear hub motor, a 48v 20ah battery. New handle bar & neck,juin tech hydraulic disc brakes & a bunch of other stuff....... I've spent around $2500 .... like I said I hear you, oh I forgot the most important upgrade freaking tannus armor....

i own a 72v 42am ebmx also they have a life time warranty for there battery's plus if you really want distance get the 72v 57am battery.

I would imagine the larger battery experiences less voltage sag under load which might explain why it feels a little stronger to you.

Careful for if the battery tips over while it's out. Their last few batches have broken because of the charging port sticking out.

i believe they only stick out a lot for the 72v max, this is the compact one so has better cable management from what i can see at least.
