Welcome to Part 2 of our BVI sailing mini-series. We hope it brings you warm and sunny vibes ... because we're already back on the road and it's anything but warm this week! We've heard from so many people within the KYD community who have this trip on their bucket list or have already done it. We love that our community has such an adventurous spirit and enjoys a variety of content, because that's how we live our lives. As we mentioned in our Route 66 recap video, we'll be bringing you even more variety this year with what's to come. But don't worry-there's still plenty of RV travel and how-to content on our schedule! In this episode, we rent scooters and explore the island of Anegada and Marc takes a shot at learning how to kitesurf. Easier said than done! Then we face rough seas to make our way to Jost Van Dyke and the home of the Soggy Dollar and Foxy's before making our way to Normal Island to experience the world-famous Willy T floating bar. This is a dream vacation no doubt and if you're looking for adventure with friends, the BVI will not disappoint!

Had the great opportunity to meet Marc this afternoon. When I pulled into the RV park I am planning on living at while we move from Iowa to Oklahoma the first thing I noticed was the KYD bus. I was so stoked and then I noticed Marc walking across the lot. To bad the weather wasn’t better, I was trying to catch him back outside so I could get him to sign my Summer to Remember shirt. Love your guys channel. Stay safe out there.

When the kids all left, me and my wife went on vacation by our selves. We rented a 5th wheel at a campground. That is what got us to buy a camper. It fun celebrating our selves for raising good kids that turned in to great adults.

Yes, I saw it in your face the minute your drove away in that other vehicle. That being "Gee I miss my truck". And from a loyal follower of KYD I can relate much better to a truck and travel trailer because that is what I have. I would venture to say probably a majority of your loyal followers have the same. So let the adventure begin!! Halleluiah! BTW....Loved the change of pace with you all going to the islands. Always wondered what you all do when you want to get away from your day job. Yes, I wish sarcasm was better received on KZfaq but we aim to not be misunderstood. An impossible task, but we do our best. We're a lot more candid during our livestreams because it's live. It's always fun to see a different point of view of the same video.

I loved seeing the Sea Turtle, sticks his head up & off gracefully it goes. Not a care on the world. Trish, I 1st seen Kite Surfing, I had no idea how much the human body could bend. It amazed me. I enjoyed seeing your vacation probably as much as you being on it. That was a huge Yacht! Loved the aerial view looking out over the marina where the boats were moored. Beautiful!

Finally watched your BVI trip. We Bareboated the BVI two years in a row 20 years ago. Fabulous trips! Glad you got to experience it! All you can eat Lamb on Saba Rock was delicious. Second year 2 friend’s and I brought guitars and took over Foxy’s. Lots of fun!

Upon retirement, we moved to FL. 15 years ago. We had an auction and sold practically everything in the two story house we built ourselves and and where we raised our kids. I sold my fishing boat at that auction and my truck soon after we arrived in FL. All for good reasons and no regrets. However, we still are sometimes asked if we miss anything from “home”. My answer is always my boat and the truck that towed it. Marc says he misses his truck. Me too.

Ive never seen you two so happy on a vacation…well your lives seem like one to many but this was a real vacation for you! Good for you two! On Jost Van Dyke, the place to go is Ivan's Stress Free Bar and Campground where beverages are bought on the "honor system"--fix your own and put money in the jar. Go to church in JVD's little chapel on Sunday and meet the locals. Foxy may be singing hymns with his guitar in the back pew.

With everything going on in the world...it's nice to escape...be it a bike ride in a park or a vacation like this. Plus there is the economics of the money multiplier effect.....industries like tourism...boat rentals, manufacturers etc rely on people traveling...so I'm glad to see that you were able to enjoy your vacation with friends and have a great time....and help the local economies of your destinations.

Congratulations. You have successfully uploaded part 1 and 2 of our dream vacation. Seriously, this is the trip we have planned for our 20th anniversary in 2024. Beautiful scenery and water, but those rough seas in the rain isn't for me. lol I loved watching this trip, it was gorgeous and you guys looked like you had an awesome time and I'm glad you got to do this "reset". Wendy is amazing and must be such a water person, I guess she'd have to be to live where she does. lol I loved that the rough seas didn't bother her at all. Looks like the women made some really yummy food and drinks! Can't wait to see you guys back in Platinum Ginger and the Cowboy Limousine, but will miss the bus too. I also can't wait to see what is happening with the bus! Hugs, Brenda

Thanks for sharing a great vid. I'm not sure what it means when my long time channels cross paths. I have a similar boat to the one Alan is getting next month, so we obviously love our time in the BVI. Oddly though, I so too miss my truck (also a Ford F250) and my wilderness time. It truly is the best of both worlds. FYI: I believe Alan has a raptor too(?), so the irony continues.The world gets smaller every day! Take care and enjoy all!
