none lol i skipped over the mom chase sequence cuz i didnt know what song to put
(frequently asked for) mods visible in the video: Neko Lost + Tainted Lost, "The Beast but it's my dad" mod, Specialist Dance, Dogma Brimstone Lasers, Damage Multiplier Stat, and "Regret Pedestals" (this is the one that shows you the blind item you didn't take). AND the time machine mod (the one that makes the beggar donations go faster). AND the unintrustive pause menu mod.
This is one of my most satisfying tainted lazarus runs to date? Ok ignore everything past this point because I wanna shove as many funny item names as possible in here: Early bird's eye and brimstone have such HUGE c section tech x POTENTIAL (even though it's not as good as ghost pepper), although a bit of a change of plans involving sacred heart and a missed opportunity of rerolling items with the d6 made this run a bit more dangerous than it should have been, not to mention holy light's synergy with perfection's 10+ luck which just ended up melting everything I came in contact with. With so many soy milk angel rooms and the combination of godhead and proptosis, including the ipecac (dunce cap) I was basically guaranteed to find sacred heart, crown of light, and many other OP items that made this run a free monstro's lung win featuring edmund mcmillen (who also created super meat boy)... And I'm totally not mentioning these items in the description just for keywords or anything, why would I ever do that? This paragraph is also ABSOLUTELY not copied from another one of my videos but with certain words changed to make sense in the context of this video, that would just be silly. Wow, did you really read all of that? I'm proud of you.
Ok since nobody's gonna read this... I can say that I'm 100% changing my YT username to just "Laven" for 2 reasons:
1. I hate how people mispronounce lavencas, it's supposed to be just like "Lavender Castle" if you remove the extra letters, but a ton of people put emphasis on the VEN which sounds extremely weird to me and annoys me to no end
2. Some of you also seem to think the L is an i but WHYYYYYYY
I was thinking of rebranding to a different name entirely, but that's too much effort and a lot of people would be confused sooooo... yeah. Also fun fact the name lavencas was kind of a placeholder until I thought of something that sounded better, but my channel exploded way faster than I would've ever imagined and by that point it was too late...
Dunno when, but it'll happen (I've been saying this for months lmao)
fun fact: most of the captions you see on screen are synced up to music beats, its a really dumb thing I started doing recently but it just feels... right? takes a whole lot more effort to caption this way but I can't stop now lol

Weirder fact about boss items in the void, when re-rolled, they'll go back to the boss pool instead of the chaos pool they were generated from.

Not really weird when you think about what's happening, because rerolling items generally uses the item pool of the room you reroll in, regardless of how the item ended up there (for example, using moving box to bring items into secret room and rerolling them with the D6). My best guess is that delirium boss rooms aren't different enough from regular boss rooms to change this behavior.

@@Star-hq1zs I know that, this wasn't talking about actually having chaos though. The Void floor's item pedestals roll as if you had the chaos item without the need to actually have the chaos item. This doesn't remain true when you reroll the items without chaos, in which they default to boss room item pool. Example: Player has D6 going into void, but does not have chaos item. Player kills a boss and an item drops. The item will the rolled as if you have chaos, which means it can be any item. Player re-rolls the item with the D6. Item is re-rolled using the boss room loot pool, restricting the possible items greatly.

The only time I got T laz's birthright one had ipecac and the other one dr. Fetus. The ipecac shots were instantly hitting the bombs, so you know how that run ended.

I think it's kinda funny how after all these videos, castle still doesn't know how to find Delirium's room (it can't have any other room bordering it except for the entrance, and it has to have space for a 4x4 room, so when you see a boss room in the Void, imagine it is a 4x4 room, if it does not have space to be a 4x4, if it would border more than one room, or if it would go past the 13x13 map limit, then it's not Delirium. This isn't foolproof, but it definitely helps to eliminate a few or a lot of boss rooms depending on your run). EDIT: Just to clarify, this method does not guarantee that the boss room will be Delirium. Delirium's room always follows these rules, but not every room that follows these rules is Delirium's. If only one boss room in the Void follows these rules, however, then it's definitely Delirium.

Funny, A similar case happened to me where as Samson I needed to get mother and delirium marks since i knew I couldn’t get both i decided to go to mother, on corpse 2 i got a 5 dice room and after I easily beat mother I decided to do a little victory lap on her and use the 5 dice room, when doing the floor again i got the R key in a secret room and after beating mother again i used it, went to dark room, beat mega satan and got the portal chance and defeated Delirium

epiphany items are fairly balanced, I wouldn't mind even if you got marks with them, just saying this for the future in case you forget to turn off the mod again

i know im late but the correct equation is (1/x)^y where x is the chance (because you said coin flip its two due to end results) and y is number of times it occurs (since you said 5, that means 5 consecutive times). the chance was one out of 32, or just over 3% chance for that result.

yeah, really frustrating to see people gatekeep stuff like that. if i want to play with a mod that makes runs go past mother, or generally makes the game easier, then who gives a rip. its a single player game and one person's progress does not affect anyone elses. this is not to say that i think castle is making a dumb decision, it's one of those to each their own things.

I respect not using the modded items for unlocks, but I don't think it would have been unfair or anything. Epiphany items do seem generally pretty strong, but not broken (and a lot of them are pretty cool).

“It feels cheaty to use modded items in marks.” Repentence made over half the challenges from Rebirth to AB+ much much easier. The only real way for it to not be cheaty would be disable all mods and the DLCs that weren’t available since that release. A few modded items don’t hurt saying beating mom the first time allows mods

Hey I’m pretty new to binding of Isaac and recently got the d6 for Isaac and don’t know what mod you use to see his re-rolls.

There's no mod to see what items will you reroll with the D6, or at least, if there is a mod that can do that, Laven isn't using it. What you're talking about is spindown dice, you can predict the rerolls because they're determined by item id, unlike the d6 rerolls that are fully casual.

Last run I did with TLaz I got the marks for isaac, blue baby and delirium... And then realized I had accidentally set the game on easy It had already happened with TLost, I hate how easy it is to change game mode on console I'm too clumsy Also I didn't know you could even get unlocks with mods active!

yeah the only time the game cares if you have mods or dev console enabled is for the daily run. oh and also for the first time you beat mom in depths, can't have mods then or it won't unlock the rest of the game.

fun fact for the choas pool effect in the void:I was playing as blue baby and out of nowhere i got R key as a reward no joke i paused for like 3 mins prossing it and that how i got my blue baby mother mark XD
