On a show as layered and complex as BoJack Horseman, you’ve got to look past the animal puns and dig deep to understand the past traumas of the characters, and how those things will affect them in future episodes. The show is steeped in foreshadowing, and some rabid viewers have analyzed the heck out of the series and we’ve scoured the internet for these theories. From why Princess Carolyn can’t have kids biologically, to Diane dying like a Princess- I’m here to tell you all the redditer conspiracies, show you the evidence, and decide if there’s anything to these online musings. I’m Kris Carr, and here’s your crash course in BoJack Horseman conspiracy theories.

I think the ending to the show was perfect. It is almost like if you want to think he drowned and died, then go ahead and think that. I had a hunch the whole show that it was going to end with bojack killing himself, and it is almost like with the last two episodes, we got both, a succinct, emotional, artistic ending to this carefully crafted story, and that classic workaround sitcom thing where everything just went back to normal overnight.

Is it weird that I believe the theory that Vincent Adultman is only Bojack’s perception of him. Because of him being so sure that he would never change and be better, seeing PC being with someone who actually acts like a mature adult who has their shit together, seems like a childish thing to an extent. It's heavily implied by her looking away and obviously lying to Caroline about the origin of the necklace that it was either bought or most likely stolen like her ring. When she came into possession of it is uncertain though. With the lead thing being needed to be ingested most times, it's still mostly debunked. Though it probably doesn't help.

If you think about Sarah Lynn being abused by her step dad, it shows why she is basically in love with Bojack. Not in the sense where they are lovers, although that did happen. But more like a father figure that can control her, and why every time Bojack interacted with her, her life began to fall apart. Makes you think of how much worse that situation is with context.

This is why Diane points out to Bojack that he is the one taking advantage of Sarah Lynn, not the other way around, and tries to get him to recognize his inappropriate behavior. Bojack makes Sarah Lynn feel like she has a father figure that cares about her and Sarah Lynn makes Bojack feel like they are in an exclusive group that suffered together and therefore a family in his mind. They are both making dysfunctional substitutions for their terrible real family members. Sadly real.

I feel like the thing about Sarah Lynn's stepdad-bear is basically canon? Like, it's really obvious that writers are implicating that she was molested by her stepdad. I don’t think Bojack will kill himself because Bojack Horseman (the show) doesn’t really sensationalize that kind of stuff. I think one reason a lot of us like it is because it addresses mental illness in the exact opposite way Thirteen Reasons Why does/did. 1) Bojack didn't try to hook up with Penny, Penny tried to hook up with him: he even told her no multiple times throughout the episode, and we never actually hear him tell her yes, and while Bojack felt he would've crossed that line, he never actually did, and we know Bojack always assumes he'll make the wrong decision. 2) Yes, there's a rather large age difference, but Penny was 17, the legal age of consent in New Mexico(and seemingly in their world, the age gap addendum that sets limits on what is and isn't legal for those kind of relationships doesn't exist: they're in a different universe after all, we can't just assume all of our laws 100% match up with theirs) 3) While The Gina incident isn't excusable, Gina wanted to(and successfully) used that incident to propel her career, so again, while that's not something to forgive, Gina HAD the opportunity to make Bojack face repercussions for it, but she, THE VICTIM, chose not to; would be hard to do anything in a legal setting for that, since she'd be adamant about not testifying against him 4) Sarah Lynn's scenario was somewhat similar to the Doctor Champ one; they'd been sober for X amount of time, then folded like a house of cards from the slightest provocation. Yes Bojack invited her on the bender, and he DEFINITELY shoulda called 911 straight away, but considering how long they were constantly doing drugs for, it's shocking she didn't OD beforehand(and likely only happened from the Bojack drug for narrative sake), so realistically speaking, you can judge Bojack all you want for him not doing the right thing and calling for an ambulance straight away(which once it got out he shoulda been charged for, can't remember if his settlement with her mom covered that or not), but if all it took to get Sarah Lynn to take copious amounts of drugs for AN ENTIRE MONTH STRAIGHT was asking if she wanted to party, she was more likely going to OD the next time she did regardless of who asked, and Bojack has shown he can respect being refused something. Sarah Lynn didn't have to accept the invite, she just did what Champ did and used Bojack as their gateway back into something they know wasn't healthy for them. Hell, he never even asks for his sins to be washed away, he only ever asks that people look at those situations from his broken perspective or for the event to be forgotten (and that's so the other people involved can heal from it!) We see firsthand that as far as the near hookup goes, Bojack is more then willing to admit he almost did something he shouldn't have(which if we judged/jailed people on all the things they almost did or thought of doing, at least 80% of the population would be in jail), but his main hope involving that isn't that he be forgiven or people let it go, but that Penny is able to heal from it and that it didn't scar her in a way she can at least find healthy ways to cope, and when Hollyhock ODs, while he's grasping at every straw he can to try and get her dads to let him stay in her life, when he informed them Beatrice was poisoning her, he doesn't get to use that as an excuse to pardon himself, he simply gives them that information so they know what happened, since at this point, Hollyhock likes who she thinks is her Grandmother, but Bojack KNOWS she's not safe with her; it's a warning so that they know, should Hollyhock continue to see his Mom, that she needs to be very careful what she ingests since it could be drugged. He didn't even THINK of having found her birth mother as a bargaining chip for even the flimsiest connection with her, he was fine letting that door closed, but he wanted to at least have bad a positive impact, whether or not she knew he was the reason why, so she could have that bit of closure that the info would give her, whether she left it at just 'huh, I know who my mom is' or went forward with forming a bond with her. We're shown countless times that he carries the weight of his mistakes with him throughout life, even stating that letting Herb be Fired was the start of a long line of bad decisions, and he didn't even KNOW it was one!

I don't see Bojack committing suicide. It's been hinted at, but Raphael Bob-Waksberg was very clear in one interview that Bojack cannot kill himself because it'd be too easy for both Bojack and for him as a writer. Bojack's arc is about growing as a person and trying to be better despite all the fuck-ups in between, not ending it when it looks rough or something bad happens. My money is on Mr. Peanutbutter via the highway to Hawaii he helped build through his governor race.

If anyone was going to kill themselves I would keep my eyes on Mr. P as well. Maybe it's me projecting personal experiences an such, but the show definitely seems to prefer the stance of art imitating life... and I know I'm not the only one at a few funerals who said, "They just seemed so able to roll with the punches"..." They were just so... up and buoyant, all water off the ducks back...you know?"... "I just saw them yesterday and they were... they seemed so happy?"
@bluesira
@bluesira 5 жыл бұрын
Not sure what's up with people thinking this. It seems so strange to me that Mr PB would kill himself. It just doesn't seem like it's anywhere in his character. YES he has repressed anger issues and YES he is passive aggressive and YES he shoves his problems deep down. But these things are more likely to manifest as aggressive outbursts (which we've already seen) or self-destructive behavior. I don't think Mr Peanut Butter is very self-destructive. He doesn't "fetishize his own sadness" as the series would put it. It's more that he repeats the same useless patterns without learning any lessons because he refuses to process his negative emotions. He has no coping skills for getting into arguments, dealing with his anger, having disagreements, etc. We see this over and over again with Diane. "Can we not fight in the Starbucks?" "Why did you have to make a big deal out of this? Just- WHY? I don't understand." "Maybe in Hollywood you all share your feelings but on the Labrador Peninsula, we don't talk about that stuff." (Some of these quotes are a bit off, but you get the idea.) Because of his repressed upbringing, Mr Peanut Butter is intensely uncomfortable with conflict and incapable of maturely processing his emotions. If he were to ever kill himself, in the worst scenario I could imagine, I think it would have to be in a moment of intense emotion, where he acts without thinking, maybe using a gun, because he can't emotionally process some piece of devastating information. But even then, I could never see it.

My personal theory is that the running baboon flat out tells us the show's arc for Bojack. He's been slowly making progress against his depression and narcissism as the series progresses. He stumbles but it gets a little easier for him to make the personal effort to become better each time. While season 5 had him crossing his worst line yet, he also responded by facing it.

The ending scene in season 5 where he walks up the ominous stairway to heaven and find his uncut balloon look-a-like, does a beautiful job of representing him finally acknowledging that he is done with his current lifestyle and WANTS to change, instead of the usual post rationalizing his shittiness or apologizing and moving on without really fixing the underlying issues. I fucking love the symbolism the writers did with that balloon look-a-like, with Diane breaking the strings soon before Bojack loses his grip on reality and doesn't know real from fiction, she was like a rock to him that kept him somewhat grounded

@@sandro-nd6ir I'm not really into nihilism as a worldview (I think it's a copout for people to not be held accountable to themselves or others for their actions, at least that's how people use it in this century) and while Bojack is a nihilistic show there's still more "meaning" in it, if that makes sense. R&M rewards douchebag behavior while BH is completely aware that Bojack is terrible and while we're hoping for him to get better, he still gets what's coming to him, which he basically deserves. R&M could be saved if Rick was rewarded for his intelligence but punished for his awfulness. Have him win the battles with logic but lose the wars with how terrible of a person he is, or make his correct ideas worthless because he ruins them with how bad of a person he is. The show is about meaninglessness but seems to believe that being a jerk to cope with it is somewhat more "meaningful", which doesn't make sense in the context of nihilism, because *nothing* is supposed to be meaningful.

I think in the end, bojack will realize that his depression will never go away, so he just lives with it but learns how to not be destructive. I imagine the ending will be him having a horrible day. He then drives to a bar, but decides at the last second to not go in, and instead he goes to a friends house to talk about it. Bojack's life still gets miserable, but now he knows how to deal with it.

More evidence to go with the "Bojack will kill himself" theory: It's mentioned throughout the whole show that nothing can have an end because it will always keep going. In the episode "Downer Ending" Todd and Sarah Lynn are helping Bojack write his book and they come to a conclusion that the book can't end until Bojack's story ends and the only way for it to end is if he died. This could be hinting that the show can't end unless Bojack dies. Even though the show focuses on many characters, it's his show. It's called "Bojack Horseman" after all.

I think that doesn't necessarily mean it'll end with him killing himself. It's natural that his character in the first season would believe the only way for his story to end is with his death, but as the series progresses it seems to be more focused on growth and self awareness. It's possible the show will end with him dying, but it's more likely the show will end some way that indicates the arc we followed has ended, but life goes on, even if no one's watching.

The story of BoJack Horseman is the story of innocence and its corruption. He longs for his corny, wholesome kids' show where he could role model the wholesome family values he never saw in his corrosive childhood. He idolizes his hero, whose story is a simple one of rising above hard circumstances to make something worthy of oneself, because he feels fundamentally unworthy. He's first attracted to Diane when he sees her vulnerability. He loves Sarah Lynn because of the innocent child she represents. He takes advantage of his friend's daughter because she reminds him of the innocence her mother once had. BoJack's primary conflict is between his need for love and his longing for the innocence he never felt in himself. Often he turns away the people who need him when they're most vulnerable, in pursuit of the love of crowds. Or, as with Sarah Lynn, he has the chance to connect with the most innocent part of someone but ends up hurting them by inappropriately bringing his need for love into the situation, along with all his self-destructive emotions, behavior, drug abuse, and sexuality which all ironically stem from his need for love and disconnection from innocence. He's desperately lonely but so afraid of hurting people that he walls himself off with drugs, emotionally unavailable relationships, and the trappings of bygone fame. Until he lets down his guard, only to hurt someone again, starting the cycle over. It's reasonable that the series will end when he just gives up, too tired of hurting others, out of hope that he can change, that he can ever be close to innocence without his blackened and tainted soul smothering the very thing he loves the most. BoJack is a toxin, his own innocence so thoroughly corrupted that mere association taints the lives of others. He's not a villain, but he's certainly not a hero, just too broken to salvage. The mistakes he's made, and will continue to make, are too severe to justify with his own pathological needs. I think it's fitting that the series will end when he simply decides to stop treading water only to poison the shores. Either he'll kill himself to end his suffering and his trail of destruction or he won't have the courage, and will just choose not to live when the opportunity arises. No drama, no glorification, just a man whose sad life and sad choices have led to a sad, lonely end in a world where good intentions don't always matter and things don't always get better. The show does an excellent job of not pulling its punches and showing the bare, horrible, tragic realities of life in a way that's both respectful and unapologetic. A lot of people are upset by the idea that BoJack will end his own life, as if it's an overdramatic cop-out by the series. But suicide, tragic as it is, is a reality. Just because other shows have done a bad job of portraying it with the respect and seriousness it deserves doesn't mean this one can't. Perhaps some people are also employing wishful thinking; they hope to see an all-too-cliché tale of redemption. Maybe they're afraid of what it says for their own lives, that they might not defeat their own demons in the end. But really, it's a fitting way to wrap up the story. That isn't to say that suicide is the right thing for the character to do, just that it's fitting narratively. His death itself will be shown to cause harm, to hurt the people who cared about him in life, one last attempt to save his loved ones from himself that ultimately ends up being selfish. But at the same time, the name BoJack Horseman will quickly vanish from tongues, just another Hollywoo has-been washed away by the tides. Just my 2¢
@UnYin99
@UnYin99 5 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't have seen all that you have without you pointing it out but for the most part I agree with what you have written. However, I believe that there are more options then just redemption or suicide. He could end up where I am. He could just accept himself, with all his imperfections. To realize that there is no need to resolve, to heal or change, and that it is OK to go on, and experience life just as he is. No dramatic turnaround, just a slow growing acceptance of his whole self, and of everyone else as well.

Tl;dr, but from what I read, i would like to interject that it wasn’t Diane’s vulnerability he was attracted to, but by how similar they are. He saw how damage she is by family and she did the one thing he couldn’t do, which was to walk away from them. He always wanted his parents approval (which is apparent when he invited her to a taping of Horsin’ Around, and when he got jealous of doll), but obviously blamed them for his lot in life. It was one of the reasons he became a stand-up comedian and ultimately an actor. Diane seems to feel the same way, but she knows they are both too toxic for each other.

He actually didn't take advantage of Penny (The friends daughter... That was her name, right?). They were just sitting on the bed when the mom walked in. In a rather unsexy positioning, no less. Could it have gone further had her mom not interjected? Possibly, though it didn't and all we can do is speculate and submit to conjecture. That said, I think her mom freaking the hell out about it is what drilled the horrid possibilities into her head and gave her the anxiety attacks. Like how she was almost raped or at the very east, taken advantage of, by someone she was supposed to trust. Kind of in the same way that it's more common for a guy to scream when seeing a roach than a woman, due to having been conditioned by their mothers that such a thing is scream worthy. So her mom, scared of what almost happened, gaslighted the fuck out of her daughter to be terrified of what almost happened. As she put all of the blame on Bojack, as though the daughter was an innocent victim bystander in it all... Even though it looked as though it wasn't going to happen anyways. Possibly to satiate the mom's own insecurities about it... Or the even the guilt over her own temptations. So that's as good as any reason to get rid of him. Much like those Senators or preachers who fist shake at the banning of gays and porn, as gays and porn aren't the problem, it's them and how it seems easier to them to get rid of those things than to fight the temptation on a day to day basis... Because they can't. Hence why Penny still had the photo and saying that she kept it for more than just that she looked great in it. Which somewhat sounded like a roundabout confession to her taking responsibility for her part in it all. Kind of seeming to hesitate in telling her mother. Now, I'm not saying that a 17 year old (Almost 18 and an adult) would have more responsibility in that situation than a person in their 40s, though they do have some and it seemed as though Penny was coming around to it.

@Alex & Rah I really doubt her self-loathing has to do with her involvement in third wave feminism and a lot more to do with the circumstances of her upbringing... her family clearly never supported her and continues to treat her like an outsider, like she can't do anything right, even though they're all quite incompetent themselves. Diane's feminist outlook definitely contributes to her disillusionment with society precisely because a lot of people see feminist ideas as outrageous or comical when (generally) all they're doing is advocating for equal treatment of men and women. She gets frustrated when powerful people in society constantly rule against women's interests, which is what leads her to do extreme things like the whole gun control episode (also, she never made all women carry guns, she only proposed it -- the scene was supposed to be satirical, since as soon as Diane even mentioned that women could feel safer with guns, politicians passed gun control legislation). The scene between Diane and her boss is also supposed to be a satirical commentary on third wave feminism; the writers are highlighting the fact that much of modern feminist media has become superficial and shallow since the media opts to focus on sensationalist, controversial, and clickbaity subjects rather than constructively discuss issues that women actually face.

She OD's the same night but I'm not sure she does it *after* hearing him on the tv. She does "Bojack" AKA "the Horse" AKA heroin when she finds it in the glovebox of Bojack's car. She dies at the planetarium, but first they rent a hotel room while they're strung out and while she is already ON the over-strong "Bojack" heroin, she sees the Awards show she missed and hears her stepdad calling out to her and AFTER that, there's even a moment on the bed when she falls silent and Bojack *thinks* she's dead, but instead she gets mad and *that's* when her trip starts going downhill. It's sad, because all Bojack ever really wants to do with her is hold her hand and talk about being there for each other.

That's an interesting theory. Throughout that episode he's desperately trying to make amends to someone he wronged (I forget her name) and literally everything goes wrong and then he finds out he could talk the whole time. Reminds me of the story of Prometheus, who's personal hell was to push a boulder up a hill only for it to roll back down for eternity. The idea of a goal you desperately want to reach and it always being just within your grasp before something comes along and destroys all your progress.

Sarah Lynn also says the reason why she can't go into her own trailer is because "my stepdad is in there and he's being weird again" (season 6, episode 1 or 2 I think) that's why she was getting her hair done in BoJacks trailer. Super sad because she was 10 at the time she said it.

While some good explanations are in this thread, I honestly think it was a de ision from the writer's/artists to go for something which looked distinctively like Bojack (As the initial lead up was that he was her father) and just doing his father's mouth stripe wouldn't have been enough. So if she had similar coloring and the diamond, then "Hmmm... Maybe."

How the theories stand in 2022 (SPOILERS AHEAD): 1. Not likely (PC's mom had a ton of kids, and all those symptoms happen when lead is ingested) 2. Didn't Happen, although it kinda would've been funny 3. Almost happened (almost drowned in his pool after breaking into his old house drunk and taking drugs) 4. Basically confirmed (Well, not outright, but is heavily implied) 5. IDK. 6. Not even close. She didn't even come close.

Lead was commonly used in jewelry back in Victorian Era and before. As soon as they reveal that it's costume jewelry from the 80s, the chance of it being lead dropped to 0%. They just didn't put lead in jewelry by that time. The only way this is true would be if the necklace really was "from the old country."

I feel like Bojack and Mr. Peanutbutter are almost like mirrors of each other. They seem to be sharing a storyline that's more intimate than I initially realized. They both were famous in the 90s, they both wear their emotions on their sleeves, they both were competing for Diane's affection in the earlier season, they even wear similar colors. I think they're both going through depression, partially as a result of knowing that their best days are behind them. While Bojack takes his unhappiness out on others, Mr. Peanutbutter tries to distract himself by filling his life with stuff to forget about his daily problems. We've seen little glimpses here and there of him when he's unhappy, and we've peeled back the layers at what a troubled soul he may be deep down. Regardless of how much truth any of this has, whether it's Bojack or Mr. Peanutbutter, I still have this eerily strong feeling that one of them is not going survive till the end of the series.

I think the show building up for a #metoo like scandal that will end with bojack getting outed as a rapist. In this theory the whole show has been about "Hollywoo" rape culture the whole time, but its seen from the point of view of a Bill Cosby like figure (Bojack Horseman). 1. Bojack got famous by being in a family friendly sitcom, winning him friendly household image around the world, even though in reality he's the opposite of the character he played. The world loved his public persona but they don't know what he's actually like. A similar problem with other celebrities. 2. Bojack is a womanizer who usually dates girls way younger them him. The only age Appropriate girlfriend that he has had so far had been in a coma since the 80s, giving her the mentality of a 20 something year old. 3. Hollywoo normalizes abuse against women. They cover up for bojack and at least 2 other celebrities(Hank Hippo and Vance) to protect their brand, in ways that are similar to how the entertainment world coverd up Weinstein, Spacy, Cosby and R. Kelly. Diane seems to be the only one who takes a stands against this, but even her now ex-husband Mr. Peanut butter only dates girls in their 20s who are easier to manipulate, thus he's also normalizing sketchy behavior. 4. In season 1 Bojack sleeps with Sarah Lynne, who played his six year old daughter on his show, making him a father figure to her. Its played for laughs in season 1 but that's part of the point. Just like how most people laughed at first at the idea of someone like of Cosby being a creep the show also plays up bojack bad behavior for laughs. It's a representation of how people usually react when they first see red flags of a beloved celebrity having a more sinister side. As the show goes on we get to see the not so funny Consequences that bojack actions have on Sarah Lynne. Which lead to her tragic death. She needed help and bojack took advantage of her. In real life, there's nothing funny about that. 5. BoJack idolizes Secretariat who just like him, had a great public image that all came crashing down when his darkest secrets were exposed. 5 season's in and Bojack has a lot of dark secrets of his own that only a few know about, but we might not know them all. 6. The show has made a couple nodes to #metoo. Such as Hank Hippo covering up allegations against him. Vance still working in Hollywoo inspite abusing his family. Bojack Image consultant covering up the recording of him admitting what he did with Penny. Diane debating with bojack if his detective show is normalizing bad behavior. Bojack almost sleeping with penny and then stalking her in college. Bojack assaulting Gina and then Gina somehow being afraid if word about the incident gets out it would destroy "her" career instead of his. . 7. Bojack keeps saying that people start off loving him but as they learn more about him the more they hate him. He also might be talking about us the audience as we learn more about him. Could it be that there is something we dont know about? Is something going to be revealed that would cause us to hate his character? 8. When Diane confronts Bojack about penny at some point in their conversation he's lists other girls that he would also have to apologize too. Implying that penny's not the only girl that bojack crossed a serious line with and also suggesting that he has been keeping other dark secrets from us. 9. When bojack trying to figure out who Hollyhocks mom is, we learn that he slept with the president of his fan club, (which could be a references to Elvis who gropped the teenage president of his fan club) he pressured many women into getting abortions and almost all of the women he slept with hate his guts now.......why? 10. Bojack is a master manipulator. In season 1 he sabotaged Todd's dream of writing a hit rock opera and gas lighted Todd into thinking it was his fault. He dillbertly lost the charity money in Mr. Peanutbutter gameshow out of spite. He plays with the emotions of Princess Caroline, Charlotte, Wanda, and even Diane. When every hes confounted about his behavior he often plays victim and gets us to feel sorry for him. In fact every season ends looking like hes going to change, but instead he keeps sinking lower and was just manipulating us. 11. Bojack can't control his sexual ergers around women. He kisses Daine when she was engage to Mr. Peanutbutter. He try to break up Charlotte's marriage out of impulse and shorty afterwards almost sleeps with her underage daughter. He sleeps with Todd's girlfriend Emily, who is also young enough to be his daughter, thus destroying his friendship with Todd. He sleeps with Sarah Lynne who played his daughter in his show during her mental breakdown. 12. When bojack confess his sins to the manatee he saids a part of him thinks he wouldn't sleep with penny but another part of him knows that's a "lie". At first we interpreted this to mean he felt remorse for almost sleeping with a teenager, but it might be he felt more remorse for almost sleeping with Charlotte daughter and what he really means by "lie" is that he already has slept with other teenage girls. 13. After Bojack breaks Wanda's heart she saids: "When you look at someone with rose colored windows, all the red flags just look like flags". This could also be a comment on us, the audience, seeing bojack bad behavior in Either a humorous or sympathetic light. When in reality he's a horrible person and some of his bad behavior are really warning signs to how bad he is that we didn't take seriously. 14. In Gina song, there's a moment where bojack is watching cartoonish drawings of himself doing horrible things from his past. You see him stealing the doll from his mom, the time he almost slept with penny and him stealing the D in Hollywood. But if you pause, you'll also notice an image of bojack dressed as his character from Horsing Around(implying that's its from the time of the show). He's with a depressed looking woman in lingerie who's looking away from him in a sad posture. Bojack has a very guilty look on his face. Could this be another person that he hurt and will be revealed to be one of his victims that we have yet to learn about? 15. In the shows intro, bojack is seen drowning in a pool. Drowning is used as a metaphor through out the show for Bojack misery and decline in life. But he's not alone in the pool. At least 2 other young women are swimming with him. Possibly their a metaphor for brojack drowning in his own sexual deviancy. A Helicopter can be seen over a Diane and Mr. Peanut butter as they looked down on BoJack in shock. Could it be a polic helicopter coming to arrest Bojack after he's been outed? Edit: I think the show will end with Charlotte making good on her promise to "kill" bojack but she'll do it in a different way then we expected. I think it will be revealed that since bojack try to see penny at her school, Charlotte has been trying to get the word out that Bojack is a pervert but powers in hollywoo have kept her story silent much like they did for Hank Hippo, Vance and Bojack himself. Eventually Charlotte will find the other women bojack has hurt, such as Wanda, Gina and bunch of other that we dont know about yet. Charlotte movement will get Ana to reveal the recording of bojacks confession, and miss gecko will reveal the photos of bojack affair with Sarah Lynn. Charlotte will bring them all together to take down Bojack, revealing to the world what he almost did to Penny, his affair with Sarah Lynn, and we will learn that has done even worse things to other girls that we never knew about. All this will "kill" bojacks career.

Dianne will die, it'll be Bojack's fault, and it'll push Bojack over the edge. Either there will be plenty of people around when he kills himself, or no one will be there to stop him. "The chanting don't lie." As for not wanting Bojack to drown, tough. Just because people connect with him doesn't mean that Bojack can just magically make things right. He's burnt a lot of bridges, and Dianne realizes this. "how do you make something right when you've made it so wrong you can never go back?" If you're not ready for that, I don't think you knew what you signed up for. This is Bojack, after all, and the writing's on the wall. Bojack is the embodiment of what me must shed in order to take care of ourselves.
