Since I had some spare jelly blacks I also tested them out, I'm not really a tactile switch kind of guy but it's nice that I finally got to try one. Hope you guys find this helpful. I apologize for talking too fast.

Nice video! I appreciate your being direct and showing us the keyboard and what it comes with, instead of beginning with yourself chit chatting for 3 minutes like TOO many other KZfaq videos. I just ordered this same keyboard in black and cyan with purple jelly caps. One question. What is the purpose of the tape mod? Is it for a thockier sound? Ok that was two questions. Thanks!

love the review!! however i have a question. if i EVa foam mod the keyboard is it pointless to also tape mod ? and then also bandaid mod the stabilisers?

One should add it even supports per Key-RGB! I prefer shine-through keycaps with it - the best supporting shine-through in my opinion are the PBT Keycaps from Ducky and Tai-Hao (Sharkoon Skiller SAC20 Set) - and IMHO these even add to a much more thocky sound and smoother typing experience.

Oh wow I didn't notice hahaha thanks. For the rgb, you'll get a static color using the software only. There's no shortcut for it

Hi! One more question, do you know what material is used for the plate and case foams? Do you think it's recommendable to replace the case foam with a layer of silicone damperner and replace the plate foam with layer of PE foam?

I don't think the silicone would be a good idea. Because the only mod I did was tape mod (2 layers) and the switch at the back barely fit because of the thickness of the tape. PE foam should be good tho

HI NICE VIDEO! But a concern about modding akko 3068B plus. have you experienced the gap created within the spacebar and the plastic case with the akko logo? i have modded my keyb and the look is unpleasant so is there any solution for that? thanks!

Oh yeah I did have that, I really don't know how I solved it. I think I just reseated the top case. I disassembled it a while ago and when I reassembled it back, the gap was gone

Question. Anyone else having issues with the on/off switch when doing the tape or eva foam mod? i see a lot of comments on other videos saying that the switch becomes too loose to use after modding the akko 3068b. Im about to mod mine with tape and eva foam after lubing. any tips guys?

Just do one mod, it's going to be tight fit for the switch if you fo both. I just did about 3 layers of tape mod and eva foam

I have problems that the board itself is too hight cant place it nicely back. I did 3 layers of tape.

That's a common problem, maybe do 2 layers of tape. and did you change the foam too?

Can you mod the keyboard RGB via a software? Can you use static white lights?

Hello. I just bought the same keyboard (jelly pinks), but somehow my novelty keys don't seem to fit into the switches. I tried several other keys but they don't fit. Do you have any clue why?

Unfortunately I'm not sure why yours have an issue, it should fit. Maybe the novelties you received are faulty, I'm not too sure, have you tried trying the novelties on other switches other than the included ones on the keyboard?

@@Burpling00 Hello! I tried to fit them in again afterwards with slightly harder pressure and they did fit in eventually. I think it was because I used to less pressure earlier. Thanks for the help though!

Did the on/off switch become loose after tape modding it? Because the stem pole from the pcb is so short I'm worried that after modding/put more foam inside the case, the stem won't reach the plastic switch

Yes that is a possibility. What I did was just 2 layers of tape. The switch at the back would go loose if you did both tape mod and foam mod. You could get away with a thin foam probably

I can't decide between Akko 75% (CS Jelly Silver) or Glorious GMMK PRO 75%, which do you think I should buy? I will also buy a new set of keycaps and choose between Gateron Milky Yellow Pro, Gateron Silent Black Ink V2 and EVERGLIDE Aqua King V3 switches.

I'm not sure what kind of keyboard you're referring to with the Akko 75%. But if it's aluminum like the gmmk pro, then either one would be good tbh. For the switches, I think my choice would be the everglide, I've never used it but I've seen videos and I think it sounds and feel nice

I have the same keyboard but my 5 pin v3 cream yelllow pros don’t fit in for some reason, I already tried too much force and it works but when I pull out my keycap, it takes the switch with it. Am I missing something?

Does every switch do that? Because some keyboards actually have that problem where you pull out the keycap it brings the switch also. Mostly it occurs with the modifiers. I think that happens because of the switch housing or the plate, the switch isn't locking into the plate properly. But if it works, I don't see a problem, you'll just have to deal with it

@@Burpling00 ok I solved the problem, I just wasn’t pressing hard enough 💀 and all the keys works now too. But when I try to pull the switches out, it seem like I have to pull harder and harder. Like idk if its because its a five pin, but 3 pins are really easy to remove. i don’t want to pull it out with a lot of strength just for the socket to break

You can disassemble the pcb and plate to get to the stabs. There are screws at the back of the pcb that are holding the plate

Hi! I want to buy this keyboard, but it doesn’t give me the option to buy it with jelly black switches anymore. I checked on Amazon, and the one sold by Epomaker also doesn’t have that option. Will it come back, or do I have to go for jelly pinks? (which is currently not in stock)

I'm not sure when they'll be in stock, but if you really want the jelly blacks you could try the second hand market. If not you can buy the jelly pinks version, sell the jelly pinks switches and buy jelly blacks separately

After you mod with tape, was there any problem with the on off switch that it becomes loss to toggle it due to tape layers pushing up the board? It was a problem that some people mentioned previously. Hoping to hear from you before I decide to get the board.

I didn't have any problems, although I did make sure that the switch was touching the pcb snuggly before screwing it. I only did 2 layers of tape so it wasn't as thick that the switch would be too loose

with the board u shouldnt add anything thick in the case because the switch might come loose + it wont fit well (the keyboard wasnt flat anymore and the pcb was kind of popping up) most i would do is 1 or 2 layers of tape with only the stock foam added (or add your own foam and remove the stock foam but it must be quite thin)

I just bought this keyboard and probably won’t use the Bluetooth option. Can I completely remove the battery from the keyboard or will it affect it in any way. I just want to add some weight to the keyboard and allow more room for foam.

You can try but just be careful because if you poke it while removing it might puncture and could cause an explosion

What is the difference between Akko 3068B and Akko 3068B Plus?? I see many videos recommending Akko 3068B without the "Plus" but when I try to search online there are only results of Akko 3068B Plus.

No, it's a 65% keyboard. To access the F row, you need to use the fn+1 to use F1, fn+2 for F2 and so on

No, its not ,the best budget is klim shift

Maybe it's cheaper but the overall quality is much better in the akko. You'll get better keycaps and switches unlike in the klim shift which you'll probably want to replace anyway. The plastic case in the akko is much better quality too. Yes akko is more expensive but you're getting your money's worth on it also. There's no need modding also and the stabs are significantly better. It's pretty much plug and play. While kilm shift you're going to mod and replace the switch and keycaps to your liking. But in the end it's your choice
