Hadn’t heard of that, but will need to look into it. The turrets on this seem solid. Strong, positive clicks and return to zero when making same number of adjustments.

@4MRRanch the turrets are good but you can break them fairly easily on the stock units if you go too far. That was the problem. They're prototyping a bunch of future accessories as well.

That’s the downfall. I’ve heard some XLV2 holsters can be made to fit (with a heat gun) but can’t confirm first hand. If you have a local holster maker I’d try a custom kydex pressed holster

Most handgun lights have rear removable batteries.

I try to humble people with “practical” use points. Some people that only interpret specs on paper fail to actual consider what’s needed to get the job done.

I like that too. People get too concerned that their laser strays 1 or even 2 moa after hundreds of shots. A laser is for quick NV aiming, not 100y precision shooting. If you want to engage things at 100y at night, get a good passive aiming aiming solution.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m currently testing the higher output versions, and they have improved QD arms that don’t have the fitment issue as this one did. If they prove reliable long term I’ll probably grab a holster

Personally I wouldn’t want to rely on shims for anything beyond a range toy. If it’s a range toy and if it loosens then no worries on adding a new shim, but for home defense/duty use you won’t have time. Interesting your 320 worked. Might be a manufacturing tolerance issue with the GL4 Interesting info on the tape switch

This kills the streamlight ( if it fits your rail well )

@4MRRanch I agree. The Streamlight is great but, if I am gonna swap platforms I have to Co-witness under NODS because of lack of vis to my Red dot. Not a big deal. The other is you must remove the Streamlight to change the battery. Even when you do you are still Minute Of Hog at 30 or 40 yards but, I prefer precision. Thanks for this review.

I have a newer version of the GL4 where the latch has now been updated and no issues with the p320 now. Also, I saw somebody GL4 fit their p320, so seems like some tolerance issues and it’s luck of the draw. But that’s what you get for $300

It has a switch that rotates. Doesn’t move easily so not major risk of accidentally swapping modes

It’s since been replaced. They moved quick on upgrading it. Both my XL and FP units sourced a few weeks after this unit have new levers

My guess is those reviews are related to bad fitment of the QD latch like I showed. I reported how my unit worked, can’t really speak to how other units worked. It wasn’t sent to me by RovyVon either

In a best case, they would continue to travel parallel at the distance they are physically offset by, in the case of the GL4 they would be 0.3” apart vertically only. Keep in mind though, lasers diverge with distance so they would eventually overlap as they expand.

From my current level of testing, yes. Except it doesn’t fit most holsters, you’d have to get a custom holster made or get a surefire xvl2 fitted holster.

I had reached out prior to acquiring this from cold harbor supply and didn’t get a response for about 6 weeks, I think they were tied up with something. I know villian weapon systems is making a beam focused. Will update yall on how it does.

I have no reason the believe otherwise. My scorpion SBR has more perceived recoil than my 5.56. The 10mm handgun definitely will out more energy into it than a 5.56 or 300 BLK rifle and it had no issues there either

The surefire XVL2 switches work

Has to be a surefire XVL2 holster, and some modification may be required. I haven’t verified first hand.

My guess is that people didn’t have rails that were in spec

For a reliable (so far) vis laser and decent white light, I think $300 is well worth it. Should you get NV, you will already have something to get you started as an added bonus

And even with two it’s still cheaper than most options lol

The turrets on this seem to be made better, less play and more force to make adjustments. But the somo NGAL has a much better illuminator. Tough choice between the two.. especially for the price difference

If there is not a perfect parallel alignment of the beams matching the physical spacing of the diodes, they will continue to separate further with distance. In this case, the IR laser will slowly work its way further to the left of the vis laser the further you aim away. Luckily; it’s only a 1 MOA divergence to even at 500 yards it will only be 5 inches left and say that range you’d barely be able to see it, especially because the beam patterns themselves also diverge (get larger) with distance so they would be overlapping at 500 yards.

You’re correct you need two points, my first is the diodes themselves using the physical distance between diodes
