Proves my point again Gary. It's these little known places that provide the best food and service. No "celeb" names, no sponsors, etc. Just an honest cafe trying their best in an already over-compertitive market.

LA Cafe is one of my favourites, and I am very fortunate to live in Sutton. Excellent review and well deserved, but you did not get as far as the delicious cakes they offer too. It is wonderful cafe, and I was one of the first to eat within when they opened. Long may it continue.

Gary, what is there to say about this brilliant family-run channel that hasn't already been said? Love the positive energy-your videos never fail to bring a smile to my face. Me and my flatmates love watching them together whilst we eat. It's just amazing to see the great effort in amateur filmmaking from your son, and to see you enjoying good quality grub whilst critiquing it in an informed way without snobbery. I also appreciate how you can eat the messiest meal in the neatest way possible without compromising your enjoyment of it! Truly a top bloke. I appreciate all the London food recommendations as someone who hasn't always lived here. If you're ever around Cambridge, where I lived for a brief period of time, I highly recommend trying Aromi, Japas, or Al Pomodoro (where, incidentally, I used to work). If I were to make a suggestion that I think would improve your channel, it would be to include the food hygiene rating of each establishment that you visit as I think that's very important. The problem with 75% of fry ups in the U.K. comes down to one simple fact, quality of materials. This place has nailed it 100%. I’ve now got this place on my list. The same can be said of 95% of fish & chip shops; Orange industrial sausages, peters pies, industrial fish cakes and leathery saveloys’. As Paul Weller once said ‘The public gets what the public wants.’

Really enjoyed this review Gary. Looks a great cafe. Particularly enjoyed the Irish stew video where you spoke about how it brought back fond memories from your childhood. Completely agree that the home-cooked hearty dishes growing up stick with you. For me my mum's Sunday roast cannot be beaten, and I've tried Blacklock and many other excellent pub roasts.
